Zheng He was referred to as a eunuch in the book written by his interpreter Ma Huan (馬歡). Therefore he was never named an admiral until modern times. When Ma Huan wrote his book, he meant to belittle all foreign countries. That is, even a Chinese eunuch would be respected as an emperor by foreigners. Ma Huan gave Zheng He 63 big ships while modern Chinese historians increased the number to hundreds; some said about 100, while others said 200, or 300, or even 1600. These two increases (eunuch to admiral, 63 to 1600), in my view, have shown us that the Zheng He voyages is a novel, not a history. The fact that no foreign countries saw any huge fleet of huge ships demonstrated to us that there had been no visit by such a fleet. The same fact demonstrated that the eunuch Zheng He never went to sea. 鄭和下西洋乃是小說，不是歷史。

I can understand your pain. Your role models like Jinnah took the Pakistan to the gutter it is today. Where hardly any citizen who had learned 1+1=2 is willing to stay back.
