The Homasote holds the nails? Do you glue your track as well?
Chris Quilley UK joined member dark
A great idea but why keep turning it around instead of working it where it sits?
So why didn't you just do it in position instead of moving it and flipping it?
I can only speak for how I do this, but I need to clamp the track securely before making any curvature and shape changes. The edge of the subroadbed is where my clamps will fit. I don't have clamps with deep enough jaws to reach all the way into the middle of the subroadbed, so I clamp at the edge, shape, test fit and repeat. It works for me because I'm not in a hurry.
capo
Screws and washer in HO Anybody with thoughts for N Scale I was just planning on using latex glue ?
Biggest issue i have with flex is not being able to get the rail joiners on, and when then are N scale, they are friggin tiny so not easy to readjust the size,
R U Still taking applications? Thien wants to know...
Not Bad
Thanks for these videos! I’m about to have my first go using flexi track soon and a couple of your videos have some really good advice I’m definitely going to use! Cheers!
Thanks for sharing this video and information
Thank you for the tips
3 CARS?!?
Where can i get a dealer in canada
Morning Sir Great vid very very helpful thanks for sharing :) Cheers Mark
fucking tragic man and look where we are today, all coaches not a million dollars or more are shit
Neet little camper. Will it fit a short bed(5') Tacoma?
I think the best source of that information would be the camper manufacturer. They have all the specs.
Perfect example of how NOT to do it
Interesting - and you're wrong. I presume you watched the entire video (and not just the first 10 seconds before passing your judgement) and saw that the system works well for us, has always worked well in the past, and continues to work well, but even with that clear and accurate evidence that the system works, how did you conclude it's the wrong thing to do? Perhaps you can enlighten us about what you see as a proper way to accomplish the same thing and explain why you wrongly see the system I detailed as a bad idea.
Everything is on a higher level ! Amazing scenery and realistic speed. The new camera looks perfect, surely in the hands of a cameraman who produces steady pictures and great view angles !
Where is this layout located?
Eugene Oregon.
Curving the flex track .
Awsome!! These things were once so comon! Now just need a steam donkey to make it work.
this made me sad
1:40 damn. Those boys don't mess around.
Used to go up.on the bosuns chair to grease blocks or put a main or tail rope back through the sheave on those in the 70s and 80s till we got some Nth American steel spar yarders!🇳🇿🇦🇺
My father was engineer on this locomotive in the #25 in the 50s and 60s for the McCloud railroad
What was his name by any chance i might have known him
Great info Jeff. Interestingly enough I've watched you for years on Rollinontv. I too am into Model Trains and we own a Jayco Class C. Great minds!
Why all kids use as a zombies why 😢😢😭😭
Gordon, you’re a legacy! Thank you for keeping our way of life alive!
Sad
Any new railroad updates coming in the future? This seems to be the last one posted.
Awesome - will give that a go :) :)
I'm going to be following your idea with the suspended brackets as I plan a three teir u shaped layout 10ft by 23ft fiddle yard on the bottom rising through two helixes to a second and third layer scenic railway.
Understatement of 2011: "This might actually work" ;) (6:48) Lovely setup for the 2nd deck. Thanks for sharing this with us all!
Jeff - the Elmers + Hot Glue is clever! I've never thought to do that!
Ma tutti senza WC...cacano per strada 🤣
It's cool when you see the older guys can still fell a big fat tree.
This video is 9 years old but still much better than the new small Rv's today
What an amazingly detailed and beautiful railroad. Thank you for sharing!
Remenber Eldon !
I remember talking to Gorden in the 1970s and he said he was going to build the resturant . he said he had a big grand fir with a big arch in it .after it opened i went in and the main beam was that tree .very cool !!
Shouldn'tit be nuclear powered?
Jeff, Beautiful layout sweet.
A truly wonderful model!
Too much debt! What a sad and tragic end to the best coach builder that ever existed.
Worked there almost 10 years.
Nice review Jeff! But can you tell us more about that garter belt..
Do they do this yearly I would love to bring my daughter to see this I grew up in good bay in the 80's and have set chokers been a bell hop and even a faller for thinning contracts this is great history
Hi Brent, yes, Antique Powerland in Brooks, Oregon, does this every year, though I'm not sure about this year. Check their website for complete schedule details. The more the merrier, when it comes to this kind of demonstration.
By the way, with your experience, take some gloves with you. They'll put you to work!
Show up on the last weekend of July in the first weekend of August and ask for Merv Johnson he's the one that is in charge of all the donkey demonstration hope you get a chance to show your daughter what this stuff's all about it's a blast
I like it but why does noboby ever state the cost?
A good question. Mainly it's because there are so many different price levels for most RVs, with different option packages and so on, plus each dealer has a somewhat different pricing level. Each year the pricing may change, too, and as this feature was done in 2011, chance are good the cost has changed. We find it's easier to let interested parties contact the manufacturer or dealer directly to avoid pricing confusion. I hope this helps.
"The next morning, a fast approaching storm called for a quick pack and go"! Could it not handle it?
No. It was because we were leaving, and breaking camp, and rather than do so in the rain, we opted for a quick pack and go process. If you check the manufacturer's website you'll see their campers are rated for something like 40-plus mph winds.
