My channel is about the places I have visited over the years in the UK and abroad with a few wedding and family videos thrown in as well. My older photographs were taken on basic point and shoot digital cameras so the quality will not always be great.
Since around 2007 I have been using Canon DSLR camera's, have attended various courses since and have been enrolled as a Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society since November 2012.
I love old churches, cathedrals, trains, boats, water (sea, lakes and rivers), history and architecture, so a lot of my slideshows/videos will be showcasing that kind of thing as well as my trips abroad.
If you like my videos please feel free to follow me. Cheers!

Lake Windermere 2014
Lake Windermere is the largest lake in the Lake District in Northern England. It is about ten and a half miles long and one mile wide. It's a popular holiday spot for people of all ages and a favourite for those who like boating, canoeing, paddle boarding or taking a ferry to Bowness or further down to the Lake Pier.
Windermere is a popular spot for hikers with plenty of peaks and fells to walk.
Fans of steam trains can take a ride on the steam train at the Lake Pier and there is an aquarium there too as well as an interesting gift shop and cafes and restaurants.
We won a holiday to Windermere and these are just a few of the photos I took whilst there. It's one of those places I hope to go ...

Shobdon Airfield opened in 1942 and became home to No 5 Glider Training School. The pilots who trained here went on to become operational in the landings of Sicily and Normandy beaches (D Day) and took part in other areas of the war effort. It became an Aero club in 1962 and if you fancy learning to become a pilot of light aircraft, this is the place for you. I visited Shobdon Airfield in May 2...

St Fagans National Museum of History is an open air museum in South Wales. It's free to enter although you do have to pay for parking, which is about £7 per day, and there's quite a fair bit to see here so you could spend a day here quite easily. Not far from the M4, St Fagans is near Cardiff, it's easy to find and it is very easy to get to Cardiff Bay from here too if you fancy a look around t...

Now owned by the National Trust, Powis castle was built in the 13th century by Prince Gruffudd ap Gwenwynwyn a Welsh prince. The last known owner of the castle was George Herbert who bequeathed the castle to the National Trust in 1952 as he had no heirs to pass it on to. The castle rises over the beautiful gardens below with stunning views of the countryside to compliment its setting. This smal...

A day at the Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Centre
Просмотров 304 месяца назад
Founded in 1946 by Sir Peter Scott, Slimbridge became the first of nine wetland centres in the UK. It is easily accessed from the M5, and has plenty of parking for cars and coaches. As well as an abundance of birds, there are also otters and even some fish to see as well as flowers and other plants! There are plenty of bird hides for those who like to get their binoculars out to get a closer lo...
Glastonbury Abbey 13 may 2010

The remains of Glastonbury Abbey can be visited in Glastonbury, Somerset. The abbey was built in the 8th century, destroyed in 1184 by fire and was then rebuilt. It is alleged that the tombs of King Arthur and Queen Guinivere are here and I think this part of the abbey is outlined by a low fence within the main abbey ground. Places to visit nearby are Glastonbury Tor, Wells Cathedral (in Wells)...

A trip to the National Botanic Garden of Wales. The garden has the largest domed glass house in the UK housing plants from South Africa, Australia, the Canary Islands etc. There is a palm house here and a beautiful walled garden. These are just some of the things to see here. There is plenty for the family to see and do, and there is a cafe if you feel peckish and plenty of benches around the s...
Ralph Court Gardens August 2016

We visited Ralph Court Gardens in August 2016 on a bit of a dull day but it was still a great day out. It's an interesting place with 15 gardens with themes from story tales like Alice in Wonderland to myths and legends. I think that since we visited the venue has grown somewhat and they will now be opening their dinosaur world garden this year. Ralph Court Gardens is near Bromyard in Herefords...

This little hidden gem is located on Widemarsh Street in Hereford, opposite Wickes DIY and next to the St Johns Ambulance station. Built some where around the 13th century it boasts a lovely old chapel and a museum dedicated to the Coningsby Red coat hospital. In 1972 work was started to replace the floor and during this work a skeleton was discovered buried about 18 inches beneath it. Apparent...

From the early morning mist on the River Wye to the architecture and landmarks of the city of Hereford, this video features some of the places you can visit here in Hereford. A couple of these places have closed down and have been replaced by something else, but the buildings still remain, and some of these buildings are allegedly haunted, most notably the Black Lion pub.
