Love it man, great video thanks 👍
I saw a video where the guy said it’s the temperature control unit. Because the harness from the sending unit and cluster meets up to the unit and there’s a short in the unit.
I went thru over a year of problems with my Altima and this. Replaced the fuel pump twice. Ran out of gas a couple times, had to pay for towing etc. The problem with these Nissans is always the instrument cluster! They’re not hard to remove, then just send it to an online place that repairs them. The tiny soldiering joints go bad and cause the fuel gauge to not work. This in turn causes a CHECK ENGINE LIGHT because without the gas gauge working correctly the computer can’t do an EVAP cycle check causing a code 0420 which can fail your state inspection. Trust me, it’s the problem.
So helpful!!!! Take a walk😂! Life lessons for conflict resolution too😂😂😂👍🙏
Right what I needed. Thanks hoss!
No mame viejo está peor q yo para ablar mejor able español se le va entender mejor
What did you put on thing to get you put the whole fuel pressure regulator on there or did you just put a small part on there that's the part I did not understand because you did not mention it what did you change you just said you have two parts coming
Thank you for showing this helpful RUclips. It made my job a lot easier.
Mucha platica🤣🤣
What tool did you use to get that bolt off that’s in the deeper part?
Did u find out
Once again, awesome sir, you rock
Awesome, video brother I have a 97. Also keep the videos coming.
My truck had the same problem, I actually took the throttle body assembly off and found that the opening he was cleaning was a thick plate with little valleys that let the gas fumes flow. They were clogged up completely with carbon. I cleaned the valleys and shoved an Allen wrench into the opening on the plate and put everything back together. I then went to the back of the truck and removed the charcoal canister and gave it a good cleaning along with the purge solenoid to make sure it was working. I then assembled everything back together, started the truck up and the check engine light disappeared. So it is worth disassembling to get the deep cleaning it was worth it didn’t take to long either.
I replaced my dash cluster which I have bought out of a junkyard and the P0462 code went away for over a year and then the code came back up
I also sent my original dash cluster to the dealer to have the problem fixed. I got it back. The service engine light was off for about 10 sec and then it went back on and they had replaced the actual fuel electrical unit on the dash cluster so I think it is the cluster if the Fuel sending unit is good. unfortunately I don’t know where the issue is in the dash cluster now I’m in the position to find another dash cluster for my six speed, which is a little more difficult to find than an automatic and hope that one last longer! The six speed sure is nice!!
Thank you sir that was super helpful
what's the name of that piece? for the fusebox
Amen, keep preaching my friend! Very dumb idead to ride without gear!
How long before the fuel pump goes bad?
great video!
Great video. I was able to get the job done easily. Thank you so much
do you recall what code you got? what was the part # that you did replace?
Ford has a user accessible "Parking Brake service mode" that makes this completely unnecessary. With ignition off, simply hold throttle pedal down while also holding parking brake switch off and cycle the ignition on and off slowly 3 or 4 times. On last cycle, you'll hear parking brake motor and the dash will show a message for "parking brake service mode." From there, changing pads is a breeze using the same caliper tool used in this video, no need to remove parking brake mechanism. To exit the service mode, you repeat the above steps except while holding the parking brake switch ON instead of OFF.
From Ford: Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) Service Mode Activation and Deactivation Activation WARNING: Service actions on vehicles equipped with electronic parking brakes may cause unexpected parking brake application, which could result in injury to hands or fingers. Put the electronic parking brake system into service mode prior to servicing or removing rear brake components. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury. NOTE: EPB service mode is also known as EPB maintenance mode. NOTE: Carry out the following service mode activation procedure to deactivate the EPB system. The EPB system can also be deactivated using the diagnostic scan tool and following the on-screen instructions. Set the ignition to ON. Press and hold the accelerator pedal and place the EPB switch to the RELEASE (downward) position. Continue to hold the accelerator pedal and EPB . Set the ignition to OFF then set the ignition to ON within 5 seconds . Continue to hold the accelerator pedal and the EPB switch. NOTE: The EPB system will be deactivated, preventing parking brake application until service has been completed and service (maintenance) mode has been deactivated. The yellow EPB indicator will be illuminated and Maintenance Mode will display on the message center. NOTE: When replacing rear brake pads in service (maintenance) mode, the brake caliper piston must be compressed into the caliper housing. The brake caliper piston does not have to be rotated while compressing the piston. Set the ignition to OFF then release the accelerator pedal and EPB switch. Deactivation NOTE: Carry out the following service mode deactivation procedure to activate the EPB system. The EPB system can also be activated using the diagnostic scan tool and following the on-screen instructions. Set the ignition to ON. Press and hold the accelerator pedal and place the EPB switch in the APPLY (upward) position. Continue to hold the accelerator pedal and the EPB switch. Set the ignition to OFF then set the ignition to ON within 5 seconds . Continue to hold the accelerator pedal and the EPB switch. NOTE: The EPB system will fully apply and release the parking brake to guarantee sufficient air gap between the rear brake pads and brake disc. Release the accelerator pedal and the EPB switch.
After the EBrake is disabled, just use a normal compression tool? This doesn’t require a tool that turns the piston?
I finally tried it and man it works exactly how you said it would!!!!!! Thank you🎉
Thanks for the tip. Definitely will try it today!!
this was exactly what i needed. thanks!

This is great info, thank you for the video.
Where to buy and how much
You're right, you don't know.
Papu - mine has two misfires as well, but the harness runs left of the tank and doesn't seem to have any damage. Did you find anything else with the wiring? It only happens when the throttle goes above 2k rpm, then it shakes real bad and has misfires on 1 possibly 2, any ideas? I changed the spark plugs and the throttle sensor/pedal sensor. Since those are notorious on this car. Any tips would be appreciated!
Good video. In my case , I have to take that electronic parking thing off anyways, because I will be replacing rear calipers however my question is ,if someone was not to change calipers , do they really need to take that off and use wrench to loosen ,if they have followed the procedure to disengage electronic parking brake in the vehicle prior to changing brake pads?
Please,my fuel gauge is not working and I need replacement, where can I get some to buy
any chance you could tell me the color scheme from top to bottom?
How difficult is it to change the sensor...
Was this a coupe si or sedan si?
Wish I watched your video before dismantling everything else! Even without cutting the boot, just sliding it down, I was able to see & repair the severed wires. Thanks for sharing. 🤙🏼
Great video!!!
if you do this and it works foes the check engine light turn off or do you have to clear it somehow?? thank you for any replies
I'm at about 17,000km on mine and now it is time to replace but they still feel good, can't wait to try gt2's

Oil burner
Did u have to drain the oil before I changed the filter or can u just change the filter without draining the oil?
You can just change the filter if you already change the oil, expect some oil to come out but just top it back on to the level
Muchas gracias.
