This game is one of the multiple masterpieces flash games have brought to us. This song in particular never stopped looping in my head everytime I think about a dark circus.

Tbh, while this is open to interpretation and we all have shot Becker at least once in replays (xD), as far as I'm concerned, Max not shooting Becker is canon. While Max has been some kind of Vigilante in the past, especially in the first game, where he was clearly not bothering anymore to try to do things by the book, he also spared some really nasty customers like Vinnie after being done torturing him for information. If you really think about, while he went after Lupino, Niagara, Punchinello, Dime and Horne with murderous intent, he only straight-up murdered (legally speaking) Lupino and Horne. And in the second game, he only seriously went vigilante mode after Vlad fatally shot Mona at the end of the game. It shows to us that even when Max was at his lowest, there was always still something left in him that was sick and tired by what he has become and made him stay his hand when he felt that his victim was suffering enough already or when there was no morally justifiable reason to shoot other than in self-defense (like when he decided to let Serrano live despite what he did to Fabiana). Which is why I think that it's also canon that Max spared that one surviving UFE officer in the shooting gallery of the Police station who had enough common sense to just surrender to him

When I was a kid and played this it was a bit scary, now that I have children it's horrifying and real hell
