This channel focuses on trails for hiking, biking, & walking with an occasional adventure series video. My hope is that I can provide a resource for people to see the whole trail/route from start to finish, rather than just highlights. Welcome to Pathfinders! Today we are hiking the TRW Loop Trail in Malibu CA 90263. This is a short trail with some nice views of the ocean. You will also come across a small windmill and walk along a stream in parts.

I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it. The area has a lot of different trails too. There an Indian caves, a waterfall, streams to walk along, and picnic areas. It's a great place to spend some time outdoors.

It's actually nice to see the creek beds with water in them. Wow, and the brush has grown a lot since I've been there. Looks really good!
The rain we had earlier in the year made it so green on the trails. Too bad summer will burn off a lot of it now. Hopefully next year we can get some good showers too.

Whats it like now as far as stream or waterfall?
I haven't visited since that day, but if I had to guess, it's probably less water now. I went after all the rain we had so it was the optimal time.
I grew up in the 1960s/70s riding my horse on this trail.
It's a very pleasant trail.

The only thing I found was something about a Glacier, that didn't sound right. So what's the story?
Nice. Googling stuff this morning, led me to movie "Once upon a time in Hollywood". Which led me to wanting to more about the Ranch in the movie. Which led me to learning about the Stagecoach Trail & Devils Slide. Super drawn into the history of it all and wanted to feel like I was there. This walking video is exactly what I needed. Everyone stopped at the Historical Sign and showed LA and I wanted to know what the people in the 1800s saw on the other side. Your video was perfect. Love it. Good stuff!

Just did this hike last weekend. Looks a little different at the moment with all the recent rains. There is only a small pile of 3 rocks to mark the spot and the indent is obscured by bushed right now, but there are messages and hats and stuff in the spot.
I might go back on 8-24, but it will probably be dry by then.
That was amazing and at the exact right time to get maximum effect. You have the most incredible ability to find so many great hikes in and around Los Angeles.

Liked the video. What video camera used?
I used a GoPro 9 for this video, but at that time I didn't have the wide angle lens that allows you to horizon lock. Locking to the horizon is key to have a less choppy video, which is how I record every video now. Thanks for watching and commenting.

An obstacle course trail for the kids and with the recent rain, finally, some greenery. Love the little creeks.
It was a lot of fun navigating along and across the stream and definitely more beautiful after the recent rainfall.

This is in the Santa Monica Mountains about 90 miles north of where the helicopter took off from and 10 miles north of where the pilot encountered all that fog which he was so overfamiliar with he didn’t realize just how dense it was until it was too late.

I like to use AllTrails. Brown's Canyon is a great spot, especially at sunrise.

It was all free when I went there. It's been so hot lately, make sure to bring plenty of water and sunblock. That area can get pretty dry in the summer.
