At the start of the oil change unscrew the oil filter housing till you hear the oil in the housing trickling back down into the sump. He did do this as you will notice, but the eagle eyed did notice that when he further loosened the housing there was oil draining back to the sump. So we can conclude he never used his ears to listen!
So in order to change brake pads only, I just need to take those pins out and swap pads right. Looks like a easy weekend DIY,

Hello, how do you push back the brake piston to enter a new pad ?
It's very easy, as you see in the video, you can do it with your hands (I'd just did it this weekend).
Don’t use the small bolts on top to remove the caliper! Those are NOT serviceable items. Use the large bolts on the carrier frame in the rear. Replace the large bolts as they are one time use. 👍🏼
but if you do, tighten on 110Nm (:

I did my first oil change on my Mk7.5 and it had what's called an adapter valve. It has o-rings on it, which I can't replace because the new oil filter didn't come with it. Does the adapter valve just have to be replaced?
You’re talking about the 2 small o-rings. I would suggest just buying it from the dealer. OEM filters are better and they will come with all 3 o-rings needed for the complete oil & filter change. On second thought, you could probably just re-use those 2 small o-rings and then replace them at the next oil service. But by no means buy an entire new adapter valve.
@@tomdolgin5441 I did buy OEM VW oil filters, but from Amazon. Only came with filter lid o-ring. Time to head to the dealer and buy in bulk.
I have 2018 RS3, My Audi dealership told me that I’ll need to replace brake pads around 30K KM. I never tracked my car or been aggressive on my car. Is this normal to change brake this fast.
hello, this car has 4 brake pads per brake and they are not very big, these brakes brake hard and well. Yes, it may be that at 30,000 kms they have to change

Im pretty sure your MK7.5 GTI calls for VW Spec 508.00 oil, which is 0W20.
also it was weird seeing him take off the dirty oil filter after he drained the dirty oil from the drain plug site? i’ve seen plenty of people take it off before they even drain
In my 2019 GTi TCR the oil specs are 504.00/507.00
on my golf MK7.5 GTI 2018 it says 502.00 oil in the drivers manual

i’m trying to put the carrier of the caliper back in and the rear break pad just won’t slip in, did you have to do anything specific or am i missing something small?
I am just curious, why did you go with oem when they are non floating disc? It seems that old version was two piece floating?
The old ones were defective and they stopped manufacturing because they were bent. Audi only makes the new ones that have the round shape
@@edgarcia.34 i have a 2019 model with those discs - they vibrate on high speed or high load.. I am more or less sure that floating ones would be better.

Im guessing the discs are not oem but zinnerman which cost like £150 per disc rather then £400

Dennis Webhofer are the OEM discs
