Pearl export neon green drum kit, first sound test.

Very first sound test of my Pearl export neon green drum kit. 22x18 bassdrums. 10", 12" rack toms. 16" floor tom. 14" Reference snare drum Remo green colortone drumheads on all drums, except for the white snaredrum head of the 14" Pearl steel shell snare drum to the left. I spraypainted the drumkit neon green myself. Bassdrums got "the kicker" foam inside, also with kellyshu mic mounts. The rec...

METALEX Drums - footblaster triggers mixed with microphone sound.
I’m looking into recording my paiste like this how do I achieve such amazing sound out of my drums for recording. I’ve never recorded before
Audio interface mixer, DAW, microphones, cables, then watch some online tutorials on how to do it, that's what I did. I basically watched a bunch of youtube videos and bought the gear needed, then I tried my best. And here we are.
One of the best cymbals demos I’ve ever seen. I’m in love with Paiste RUDE. 😍
Thanks dude ❤🎉😊
love the hats omg and paiste rides never disappoints
Hell yeah, Paiste Rude 14" Hihat is pretty special, I like it a lot. Paiste make some great cymbals that's for sure. ❤🤗
Paiste Rude amazing love the the Rein Ride
Yeah me too, absolutely worth the money ❤
Love that med/low tune on the Reference! :D
I love changing drumheads and tuning them different, exploring sounds, endless hours of joy. When I made this video, I just pulled them out of the drumbags and hit them, to make a quick recording. So they were all just as I had used them last, without tuning them or anything.
@@metalexdrums Ah ok hahaha not in tune, but sounds good ;D. I love to change heads on my different snares too! :)
@wingelschweinchen7065 single ply heads og double ply heads, makes a big difference. Many years I always bought the thick heads and tuned them high. But recently started buying single ply heads and enjoy the ringing and singing snare, compared to how I used to like it, and muffle the heads. I think I like them more open now and want the toms and snare to sing unmuffled.
@@metalexdrums Nice! I recommend the Remo Diplomat. Great open sound, more than the classic Ambassador! ;)
Blast beat heaven
Gotta get those notes in sometimes 😅
@@metalexdrums that's right 😎
In all seriousness your jamming /practice sounds identical to mine 35 years ago.
I recommend heel-toe double kicking. You’re starting out decent…..but it’s decreasing in speed as you continue.
Dang, that's one gorgeous kit
Thanks, it's very addictive and enjoyable to play.
I'm really surprised at how smooth those hats sound, I play a 1980's 22in Rude 3000 Power Ride
I honestly love using the Rude hihat, I also have a Paiste Signature medium hi-hat and a Paiste Precision hi-hat, for the not so heavy stuff.
Great demo, great sounding cymbals and drums👏👏👏
Thanks 🎉😊 I appreciate it.
Что сказать то хотел 🤷
Fair enough 👌
First of all great playing, the tuning of the kit also sounds great. Been a Paiste endorsee for near 20 years and have always favoured the 2002 range. This video has certainly opened my eyes and ears to the RUDE sound - especially like the wild crash and the 16" novo china
I recommend checking them out in a drum shop, where you can hear the cymbals both with and without ear protection. They are very loud, compared to signatures and 2002 series. I have played with mixed series setups, and the rude series cymbals has more volume on impact, if that makes sense. That's why people mostly use them for rock, punk and metal music.
some of my favorite cymbals no doubt... between the ride, hats, and chinas, they sound soooo good
❤ Should Paiste expand this Rude series with even more effekt cymbals?
@@metalexdrumswe need more rude efx cymbals
@@zackkeptner1954 I agree 👍 💯
i honestly love the sounds of these! aggressive and in your face which i would definitely love! ive got some 70s 2002 rock hats that started turning green.. but they still sound awesome! paiste are the best
Paiste Rude series love all around
My favourite line of cymbals
Mine too ❤
Love the RUDE line
Yes, the Paiste Rude series deserves more appreciation, so freaking nice.
What kit are you using here? It sounds amazing!
Pearl export kit, I pimped with neon green spray paint and new Remo colourtone drumheads. 😂🎉
Excellent choices mate!@@metalexdrums
Thanks for the awesome cymbal demo.....isolated them with real time playing them too. Keep up the good work.
Thanks, I really like how these cymbals sound. It's so nice to capture it on a recording, but most songs mixed, they tend to adjust the sound so you hardly can hear the cymbals.
I love Paiste rudes but they are a one trick pony “metal” they are so metallic sounding and sound like a tin it’s Impossible to make them sound good in any other context as they don’t have nice overtones
Depends on what's needed for the sound, same goes with drumsticks, drumheads, drumshells. Just different options and tools of the trade. Choose what works. I have a full Paiste Signature series line up for when other sounds are needed.
Rude is the best😊
I think so too, love em lots. ❤
Those sound great. I am not a big fan of thin crashes but these sound pretty good....and you have the Reign.
My very first paiste rude cymbal was actually the 17" rude thin crash, I got it in 2005 I believe it was. I was playing in a thrash band at the time, I was playing with Paiste Signature back then, I fell in love with the rude sound, then started collecting them.
Those Pearl Exports sound outstanding. Im a paiste guy, so you know my opinion on your rudes 🤘
There is a good reason why Pearl is such a big company, so many drummers started out with a Pearl export kit. Paiste is really my absolute favourite cymbal company. Perfect cymbals ❤
Interesting choice. Beautiful drums. I'm guessing you have a sense of humor.
Great sounding Export, I've been shopping for a new kit and Pearl is top. I was looking at higher end Pearl kits, but Export has always impressed me, maybe I need to just go with it... Love the Rudes, I've always played Zildjian but I am looking at Paiste and Sabians as well. Cheers.
I bought an old beat up pearl export kit for the same price of a splash cymbal, then removed the wrap that was broken, spray painted it white and then neon green 💚 changed all the heads and tuned it, sounds great. I would love a highend pearl kit, but this export kit works perfectly fine, I can take this on tour and get it scratched up and repaint again. That won't fly with an expensive highend kit. 😅
I love Paiste! Great sounding kit and great playing!
Thanks 🎉
lmao! I’d say you’re an equipment addict. I Must buy more cymbals. 🧟♂️
Been playing drums and collecting drum stuff since 1999. I got way too much stuff. 😂 But sometimes it comes in handy, Drummer Adam Jarvis borrowed my chrome drumkit summer 2023, to practice with the band Lock Up a week before their gig at Roskilde festival. I was his drumtech there. Helpful to have extra gear ready to go in gig bags.
I swear every person who uses rudes have the same sounding kit
That's the beauty of Paiste cymbals, they exactly sound as good as shown on their site. I have played with Paiste cymbals since the year 2000.
Paiste Cymbals are noted for their consistency of tone and timbre.
Some of the best Cymbals ever.
I’m surprised this guy can’t play a snare drum roll correctly(?). Not trying to be mean but how does one amass this much gear but skips that foundational step?
@@patriotfreedomlending4655because it's not a requirement to just simply have joy in something.
Great video! personally I'm a Sabian drummer AAX and HHX but I've always been a fan of the Paiste Rude line ever since I was a kid and I realized David from KoRn and Joey from Slipknot both rocked them and they sounded awesome! I really might have to get the Rude line someday! Awesome kit man i like the green touches! 🤘
Thanks, my old channel from 2008 got deleted in 2021, so I lost over 500+ videos. I am just thinking about what I should do with this new channel. Drum related of course.
This kit might be so fun to play
It's a lot of fun to play, but I also enjoy changing things, tuning and recording, mixing, hearing the drums afterwards. I spend a lot of time with nerdy drum stuff, trying different setups and mic settings. I just love drums.
Is that a drum set or a mushroom field 😂
Maybe a portal to an another dimension?! "Don't follow the beat, unless you trust the drummer"
hey, do you tune your toms to specific notes, intervals between the heads or something else ? they sound amazing
I have done that in the past with a tunebot, but in this video I had just loosened all the heads and just tighten them up x crossing the lugs around each drum, until I was satisfied with the tension and tone between the drums by ear.
is that high compression at 29s and 4:01 natural from camera? btw killer drumming 🤘🤘
It's just the gopro camera audio.
Way to freaking make a newbie feel like shit his first week learning the drums… dear lord man you are good
broo you killed this! keep it up!
Bro 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
I call it "The Ninja Turtle" kit
THIS gets better each time!!
I just head banged/body thrashed to that!! You should do a workout tape!!
Who was the guitar?
A friend played different riffs, I cut it together and made the song like this 🎵
Rock !!
Sejt 😄🎶
Army of...Darkness?
the mic on drums is thumpin !
Shake It !! Richard Cheese does a good cover, as well
May I ask what clamps did you use to attach the middle bar? Looks like PCX-100 on the bottom bar, holding a cymbal boom inside RJ-100 that's held by top bar, but I am not sure and I'd like to replicate this setup. Seems this would solve my 3 up 2 down double bass woes.
Yes, that's just the cymbal arm going down the small rack tube, to cymbal arm champ on the rackbar. It works. I change my setup often, I like exploring the different possibilities. Check out my photos on Instagram, there you can see many different setups.
@@metalexdrums Thank you very much!
Damn, those drums sound huge
It would be cool if you did rythm for kick axe medieval video games and the like !!
A lot of good riffs in there!!
sweet view. good beats
