teamTRC members Nismah Osman and Matt McArthur, along with our gear consultant Erin Barra discuss the thought behind outfitting the new studio. While there is always a heavy emphasis on how can we get quality equipment into your hands we stayed hyper-focused on making sure to create an environment that is welcoming for every music maker in Boston.

NEEMZ!!!
Nice!
I love this ❤it was great to hear it at The Caroline Club Saltaire 😊
This band likes to talk shit or at least their guitarist Richard David Jennings about how I’m a “narcissist” and the whole band stands behind him acting like I was harassing them when I called their listed number about it.
Outstanding, friends. Very inspiring. Keep up the great work. Greetings from Atlanta, GA.
😂😂🙏🏽🙏🏽
Awesome
Who did the seismic work to find the fundamental frequency of the sub floor under the floating floor? I have seen so many studios build a floating floor without checking, and the floating floor was over half the frequency rendering it useless for studio work. And how much did they charge you?
Thumbs up to you guys! Where are you located?
Boston needs more venue friendly laws... New closing Times, alcohol sales, sound ordinances. What should be a vibrant music city has every musicians moves out of Boston to pursue better markets.
I cant agree that console usage/appreciation is based on race more so than maybe aom generation. At the same time you are seeing a resurgence of interest in hardware equipment amongst younger and newer engineers of all races whether it be for workflow or sonic reasons. Growing up being around a lot of African American hip hop producers/engineers they would use a mixer in their workflow maybe not large format console such as an ssl. But same idea.
As an example ruclips.net/video/PXgbBWEJ03I/видео.html
I’m not sure I agree with your idea that consoles are not used by certain types of musicians. I don’t have direct experience with hip-hop or rap but there is certainly plenty of evidence that most folks do use consoles if they have access. I AM familiar with reggae, and most producers I know use large format consoles. You seem concerned that people coming in should feel comfortable with the equipment. Isn’t one of the goals of your studio to provide access to equipment and mentoring that one would normally NOT otherwise have access to?
Glad you're installing a console but you could actually argue that Bill Putnam started designing recording consoles for the sole purpose of capturing the music of African American artists…see history of Universal Recording Corp.
Amazing!!
