how people can call nadal only a clay court player is beyond me, he achieved double career grand slam, which fed didnot even have it. Of course, some peole will say, without nadal , fed could have won 4-5 RG titles. But without Djokovic or Fed, how many more AO and W titles Nada could have won? Nadal only lost 9 slam finals, and 8 of them came from Fed and Djokovic.

I don't like that hosts are promoting the idea of giving overinflated importance to H2H versus the performance against the whole field. We've been through this before - in 2006-07 when Rafa fans were drumming about "Real #1". This idea goes against the basic logic, the part is given a greater importance than the whole. The truth of the matter is that Sinner is #1 and Alcaraz is not. In China Sinner won 1000 event, while Alcaraz won 500 event. This truth is getting lost while everybody concentrates on their Beijing final.

I am unsure about their 2025 predictions for men in terms of the future rivalry between Carlos and Jannik. I am not confident that Carlos will recover (although I surely hope so as a fan). I understand that Carlos is going through tough times and completely unravelling recently but the question is would he be able to recover from that? It doesn’t seem that he is able to revert back to the top quality tennis we are used to with Carlos. I don’t think this is solely due to the Olympics hangover As for Novak, his priority for next year will undoubtedly be to win Wimbledon. By winning his 9th, he will surpass Federer’s record of the most Wimbeldon wins. Also, whenever he decides to retire down the line, I believe it will be during wimbeldon. He always said that that place is the most special for him. Best court for him is centre court at Wimbeldon and that was his childhood dream

But it takes discipline, mental resilience and excellent support team to turn that potential into a successful career. I just feel that although both are young, Jannik is able to navigate those factors better than Carlos. He needs to change his approach, maturity and mentality in order to not waste his potential I do hope he can make a comeback but it is not a given fact

    • @VH07654
      @VH07654 Месяц назад

@@denisecasalino9295 maybe then he should be more selective in terms of which tournaments to play. If he was exhausted after the Olympics, maybe he should have skipped Cincinnati to prep better for the US Open. Similarly, why did he decide to play in Davis Cup? It might be better to skip it in order to regroup and up his game for the rest of the year. He played for the Olympics and is already set to play in the layer cup, surely he can skip Davis cup this year Also he would benefit from a mental coach or bring in a co-coach alongside Ferrero (similar to what jannik did bringing in cahill last year) The fact that he didn’t do any of the above point out that he will continue to have tough times from now until the end of the year. I am a fan so I hope he can make a comeback but I don’t see a real change yet

Daddy Hall of Fame predicted after Roland Garros, that Sinner would win AO and USO, and Alcarez would win RG and W. About the US tennis players, I don’t agree that this last Slam proved that they are any closer to winning a grand slam; in fact, it proved that they are as far as they have always been when the BIG 3 were around. This last Slam displayed that the only way for the current US players to win is that they don’t have to go through the very elite players (Sinner, Alcarez, Medvedev, and Djokovic). I found it not encouraging or discouraging; I would call it an "Assessment Slam.”

low IQ posting. Can you read the difference in cases ? And don’t tell me now Italians are immune to bans. Do any of you know what google is?!!!! Stefano Battaglino from Italy banned: 25-year-old Battaglino provided an in-competition urine sample, which was found to contain metabolites of clostebol. Clostebol - an anabolic androgenic steroid - is prohibited at all times under Section S1 of the World Anti-Doping Agency Prohibited List. As a non-specified substance, an adverse analytical finding for clostebol carries a mandatory provisional suspension. As such, Battaglino has been provisionally suspended since February 2023. Battaglino, who has a career-high ATP singles ranking of 760, requested a hearing before an independent tribunal convened by Sport Resolutions. The hearing was held remotely in October 2023. The player argued that his violation was unintentional and that his sanction should be further reduced on grounds of no fault or negligence or no significant fault or negligence. The independent tribunal determined that Battaglino did not prove the source of the clostebol and therefore found that the anti-doping rule violations were intentional. As such, the player was not eligible for any reductions below the presumptive four-year sanction.

How can you explain this against their verdict of all cases presented that this was kept silent. Its all above suspicion and the process taken smells foul

      - Did Halep immediately appeal her suspension? No, she did not appeal within 10 days. - Did she quickly present evidence of her ‘accidental contamination’? No, for months she could not say where the banned substance came from. - Did Halep receive the banned substance from external agents or other people? No, she took the banned substance herself. The consequences of not appealing and not explaining were: the suspension was not lifted and as per the rules the case was made public. Sinner on the other hand: he was suspended twice and twice he IMMEDIATELY appealed. By appealing, the suspension is temporarily lifted pending receipt of all explanations and documentation on the case. And, pay attention, Sinner DIDN'T TAKE directly the banned substance. With the suspension lifted pending trial, BY RULES the case cannot be made public until the day of the outcome of the trial, which may convict and disqualify the athlete, or clear him of all charges. In the meantime, NO ONE may speak about the ongoing case until the trial is over, BY RULES. In Sinner's case, the trial ended five months after the first suspension, the verdict was acquittal, and a trial was made public in August for events that took place in March. These facts are available to anyone who is not lazy and really wants to know the story by reading the 33-page judgment for Sinner and comparing it with the Halep case, which took place completely differently

They hid it illegally and for a reason because he should have been suspended Don’t disagree with me Two Serbians were banned for 2 years and never took anything Urine had nothing and delayed dangerous blood needles for 3 hours later blood had nothing Where is sinners blood test, it would show more than urine. Sinners leg muscles are obviously steroided by testosterone , he can barely walk normal. He keeps taking time off, tired, can’t play next day, tonsils, Vomiting (drug side effect), banned from Olympics for drugs

Sinner said that his team is and will continue as Meticlous as ever. In other words they will inject him with steroids and he will play better and be more muscular and not be suspended.

The news only came out now because the Independent Tribunal only reached the decision on 15th August..prior to that he was provisionally suspended for both of the samples and in both cases, he appealed very quickly and the appeal was accepted. That's why it wasn't made public- it only goes public once a suspension goes ahead. It wasn't secrecy, it was the normal process for the circumstances. The worst thing in Halep's case was the delay to her appeal.

Someone shakes a players hand, a 'banned substance' is transmitted with no advantage to your game, you get fined 400k, and lose points. Seems a little ridiculous. If you can't find evidence of intention or woeful neglect by a player, leave them alone! You'd need to submit every meal you have at a restaurant to chemical analysis, etc etc.

The rules are clear nothing need to be reported until the decision by the Tribunal, so nothing was deliberatly withheld. This is totally an over the top reaction from the media. Steroid use has side afects that are obvious like bad temper explosion like smashing racquets and erractic pshychotic episodes , excessive muscular development at young age that is abnormal for the age, etc.,. Anybody with a brain cell can clearly see that Jannik is not overmuscled, and retains his normal calm demeanour in the most stressful times on Court. I can mention many other players who don't. Enough of this BS about Sinner doping.

*Former ATP anti-doping chief on the Jannik Sinner case: “The regulation was followed to the letter”* Former ATP anti-doping program chief Richard Ings analyzed the documents of the ruling regarding Jannik Sinner’s Clostebol positivity, declared innocent by the ITIA court, shedding light on the darkest passages of the affair involving the Italian tennis player number one in the ATP rankings. To dispel any doubts and dispel suspicions, *Richard Ings, former ATP anti-doping chief from 2001 to 2005 and then CEO of the Australian anti-doping commission from 2005 to 2010,* analyzed the affair step by step (which became public only on August 20 but which he and his team had already been aware of for months) and found no discrepancies with respect to what the regulation provides for these situations. *"I read the ruling and the rules were followed to the letter* - the former number one of the circuit's anti-doping explained in an interview with Adam Addicott for ubitennis -. *Sinner's lawyers filed an appeal on the same day of the suspension* (April 4, ed.), asking for the suspension to be revoked since no responsibilities had been identified. *A judge heard the appeal and revoked the suspension.* According to the current rules - Richard Ings continued, continuing to shed light on the less clear aspects of the affair involving Jannik Sinner -, *no announcement can be made publicly until the court finishes dealing with the matter. The ITIA court then reviewed the entire case and the evidence at its disposal and then ruled that Sinner was not at fault, so he could play.* In these cases it is mandatory that points and prize money be deducted, even if there is no fault. *Therefore the rules were followed to the letter.* Jannik is not at fault. It is true that it is usually difficult for a player to trace the primary source of contamination, but in this case it was quite easy and so he was able to demonstrate his innocence. Too bad it cost him almost half a million euros and the crooked faces of the press and colleagues" concluded the former head of ATP anti-doping Richard Ings, clarifying the darkest passages of that bomb that exploded a few hours after Sinner's success in the Cincinnati Masters 1000 and a few days before the start of the US Open (in which the Italian tennis player number one in the world will regularly take part).

The problem isn't whether Sinner is found guilty/innocent. It's the ATP. Per their own ITF rules, if a player tests positive they announce it immediately and supend them. Instead, they kept the information hidden for 5 months and even let him play tournaments when HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED until a tribunal made a decision! The preferential treatment is unacceptable.

👎 LUDICROUS CRIMINAL DOUBLE STANDARD. Sinner FAILS TWO DRUG TESTS-and it’s KEPT HIDDEN for FIVE MONTHS!?! ANY other player would have been banned long-term with a drawn out investigation and censure. Pathetic. “Oh, I didn’t know… It was in my massage cream.” UH-HUH. The old “Blame the Trainer” BS. Sinner makes WAY TOO MUCH MONEY NOT to KNOW.

@@lornawilliams550I stand by the facts, like them or not: 1. Criminal double standard-too many other players banned pending lengthy investigations & censure; 2. TOTAL secrecy for FIVE MONTHS-Really? Who could possibly defend such nonsense? 3. You’re a professional athlete-and the number one player in the world. You are 100% responsible for what goes in AND on your body. No excuses. No blaming the trainer. Big boy time now. Grow up or face the music. Two failed drug tests kept secret for FIVE MONTHS leans towards Sinner having sinned.

Italians have a history for abuse this creme for doping, from 2019 to 2023, over the 30 sportsman were caught for doping using exactly that creme. Do you want to tell us that this physio, who alredy had one more case like this, didn't know it what's his using?? C'mon. And the fact that Sinner took him for work is suspicious too. But anyway. Sinner fans will never be objective. That's so clear.

In 2016, the ITF announced it would publicly announce “adverse findings” if a player was provisionally suspended. Per the policy, if a player didn’t accept a provisional suspension, the pos. test wouldn’t be made public until a resolution was reached.

You guys are only creating irrelevant excuses. Problem is huge because they were silent about doping. Which was not the case in every single case of other players! With his doping Sinner is creating huge problem for all other Italian tennis players and almost all Italian sportsmen. Sinner team and especialy Darin Kahil “Pharma Man” explanations are total nonsense. He should be suspended like all other players.
