you mentioned the guy giving out mounts. i'm on that server too. i was actually told in the discord that that guild was executing nova, the cheating guild and apparently they used the enemy guild's duped gold to buy the mount the guy was handing out. not sure if thats true or not, but thought it was an interesting story when i heard it lol.

Interestingly enough, this makes me realize the Meta in the future of PVP combat will be actual combat lines. 1. You guys had 2-3 people jump into all 40 of them while they had a single guy jump into you, let's say the closest line for them was a bunch of AOE tanks and Fighters who could just slash them down in 1-2 abilities, you'd of actually been at the disadvantage over them right away. While they on the other hand tried to do a mini nuke with one aoe suicide bomber, then the rest of the fight may have been a 47 to 49 before everyone is truly ready. I honestly see the military of this game shaping up to be a lot more like Mount and Blade meets Starcraft, where you try and hold different levels and ranges of players, but slowly mesh into an all out brawl where everyone breaks ranks outside of the highest skilled PVP teams. 1. Front side, all tanks, Mid Line is archers, fighters & healers, End Line is magics users and rogues. with different variations. I could see over time if people could actually work together becoming the new Roman Legion of AOC. Right now it's just a bunch of ranged users jumping around like bugs spam casting

i know this is exactly the type of issue that phase 1 focuses on, but that render distance of player models in these large scale engagements is absolute dogshit. hopefully they can tackle this before phase 3 and naval combat comes online. i can already imagine losing ships and cargo because several enemy ships suddenly render in seconds before being in firing range.

This looks almost exactly like Archeage...even the way numbers are appearing. Not even sure if that's a good thing in 2024 but here we are.

One thing discovering a bug, but mass producing is exploiting plain and simple. Ruins node progression etc which is a focus a lot of people are testing. Good it happens, as forces them to develop proper controls for monitoring etc. But there is and always should be a line between testing and exploiting and imo this is their first chance to establish that line as well. Which sets the tone for future exploits.

expect lots of bots, dupes, hacks, and especially expect anything abused i.e. ESP'ing inventories to check if your caravan has good loot while your in town and then a 20-100+ man gank squad

I'd expect a statement and warning from Intrepid about this. Both about the dupe and the exploitation ... and possible future actions against those abusing it. I'm trying to find the TOS for Ashes but I can't. Wonder if exploiting is in it?

This is an Alpha. The servers will be wiped anyway within a month. Perhaps this will help advance things for better or deeper testing. I have no doubt it will be solved soon, but the need for an immediate fix or it will ruin the game is highly hyperbolic. And besides, finding problems and dupes are what players are supposed to be doing anyway.

It's Alpha. People need to stop worrying as if it's a release. Better to find and fix now, rather then in 1.0 release.

This isn't the first or the last dupe... It's alpha, it'll happen in beta and hopefully not but it can happen at launch

better now than people hiding it till 20th of dec wipe :p the moment i knew there was a dupe was when people started trying to buy 1 of each legendary mat for 200g :P No reason to wipe at this stage we know it coming on the 20th and this as test kinda accelerates progression to a degree so may aswell wait till then. next couple weeks gonna be come a bloodbath whe ncorruption become irrelevant due to wiping probaly last 2 weeks before wipe gona be hecktic im kinda in chill phase waiting for a carpentry bench to be built to look into that crafting :p

I hope they fix this ASAP. I reported it so many times. Even sent them clips of it happening. Ive talked to devs and they said they 100% know and are trying to fix it. Resna is a shit show because of it. People literally full Legendary grom crafting.

At least the wipe will clean it all up on Dec 20th. But hopefully they can limit the damage and delete the offending duped material. On Vyra I didn't notice any node going nuts or people handing out mounts, so it might have been done on the down-low or not as much.

I think the Render distance is so low because its better to Start the Stability, Performance Testing. And then if its stable on a smaller scale they can push it higher to the Limit. Instead of having to much problems when they would have started to high on their Limits
