You need to look up E.L Block.. she's my cousin and is an amazing artist and writer and has some novels out and 2 more comming soon. They are paranormal.. a little spooky.. American Gothic is great and my favorite is Monstera! Her next book out in a month is Soulmate.. the first 2 are quick weekend reads but really good.

Butcher and Blackbird is one of my favorites from this year. I really enjoyed Leather and Lark as well. Though I feel like the third is going to be my favorite just from the little taste of those two characters.

I think I know good book you might like spring -heeled Jack man or fiend by penny dreadful press .

I really LOVED The Sundown Motel by Simone St. James

I read the Dead Romantics this past month. I really enjoyed it overall. It deals a lot with grief, which I really thought was done well. It did fall a little short for me as the author uses a lot of pop culture references, which is a personal pet peeve. Hopefully, it doesn't bother you, and you really enjoy it along with your other reads.

The Boy with a Bookstore sounds cute. I enjoyed the first half of Babel more than the second. If you struggle at all you might try the audio book. I listened to it, and am glad I did as there is no way I would have gotten through it physically even though that is my preferred method of reading. Have a great month.

I had fun with The Stardust Thief too! I love quest adventures, especially with lore from other cultures being incorporated. The second/next one called The Ashfire King comes out in July. 😄

apparently the hardcover edition (and/or the UK one?) has a recipe for Thimblets in the back of the book - it's basically just biscotti but I thought that was cute. ☺ I was able to get a copy from someone so I added it to my cookbook.

I know you said you were coming out of your horror moment but there is a cozy horror book that has some witchy vibes that I loved.. Cackle by Rachel Harrison 🍵 🕷 I guess this could count as "cozy fantasy" but it's manga.. I Am a Cat Barista. oh! I did just read The Night Circus and that seems like a cozy fantasy to me because of the magical setting and themes.

I read Dark Matter last month and loved it! I love quantum physics. About 5 years ago I adopted a kitty cat and named him Fritz Zwicky after the 1930s astrophysicist who is considered the "father of Dark Matter". 🐈😆 My other kitty cat is Penny Dreadful.. after the Penny Dreadfuls.. are you familiar with those?

I'm planning on reading Mexican Gothic this month, after I read Rebecca (since it is part of the inspiration on Mexican Gothic).

I've read The Stranger Upstairs .. a generous 3⭐ for me, probably should be 2.5⭐ lol. I also read The Stardust Thief 4⭐ and Legends & Lattes 4⭐.. really enjoyed them both! Excited to read the 2nd Sandsea Trilogy book, The Ashfire King when it comes out (think in Feb.) and hope BOTM will have it so matches my book #1. And have the prequel, Bookshops & Bonedust and hope to read soon! omg I hope there is another "Thimble" type character!! 🥐🐀☕

I've read The Four Winds! So good. I think I sent it up to dad at one point but I can't remember for sure. It's such a good book though! I cant wait to see what you think of it!

Last Chance Library and Legends an Lattes are good. The Stardust Thief was interesting, but I prefer to pass on books that include torture and it ends on a pretty major cliff hanger. The Stranger Upstairs has a much better premise than execution, probably 2 stars (I'm literally giving away my BOTM copy).

Legends and Lattes is a fun read. I agree Little Women is perfect to start around the holidays. I started and read it for the first time ladt Christmas/ into the new year. I hope you have a great month.

What a unique way to choose your TBR. I have never read Frankenstein or any Sherlock Holmes. I am going to try to read Frankenstein in October, but I am not sure I will get to it. I hope you enjoy Dracula. I read it last year. Have a great month. I look forward to more videos.
