The Sto-Rox Class of 2024 took one final, special stroll through the district’s buildings on Thursday as part of the 2024 Senior Walk. The annual event, organized by Jr./Sr. High School Spanish Teacher Ben Engelhard and district staff, featured seniors marching through the halls of the Upper Elementary, Primary Center, and the Jr./Sr. High School. Sto-Rox School District played host to a Remake Learning Days event on Wednesday, May 15 in partnership with STEM Coding Lab. During the 2023-2024 School Year, 10th, 11th, and 12th graders from the Jr./Sr. High School's Future Educators club taught classes at Sto-Rox Primary Center as part of a mini grant from Teach Plus. Dominik Daniels from the Gamma Lambda Sigma Chapter of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity brought the house down during his performance at the Sto-Rox Jr./Sr. High School SOUL Day Celebration on February 29 to close out Black History Month. Last year, it was the '“Super Seven” senior football class. This year, it’s the “Terrific Twosome!” Sto-Rox seniors Amare Harper and Eric McGuire signed letters of intent to Slippery Rock University and West Virginia State University, respectively. Check out this special Alumni Spotlight video featuring Sherine Raymond (Class of '77)! This Sto-Rox student-turned-educator has worked tirelessly to teach young Vikings across generations. She retired over the summer of 2023, but continues to tutor new Sto-Rox educators and make and impact. We salute you, Sherine! Happy retirement!

When a student enters a Sto-Rox school, it is our goal to meet that child's needs and help them excel. Whether it's using the EarlyBird literacy screener to look for reading needs at a young age, or preparing older students for yearly exams, we are dedicated to delivering a complete educational experience.

The school day doesn't end when the final bell rings - at least, not in Sto-Rox. We have a series of extracurricular activities and resources for students and their families. It's all part of building a community that makes everyone inside and outside the school Sto-Rox Strong.

At Sto-Rox, our security guards do much more than protect and serve. They form meaningful relationships with our students and staff. Take security guard - and Girls Flag Football Coach - Lauren Ferragonio. She is just one example of the mission fulfilled by our security team every day.

Sto-Rox has a long and storied history in Western Pennsylvania school athletics. We are on a mission to field winning teams without sacrificing academics, and this video lays out the basics of this strategy.
