I was just a poor struggling art student when this masterpiece came out. 33 years later and it still has the power to transport me to another reality. Youngsters today have no idea just how cool Seal was back in the day. My class had a trip to London to see the galleries and while we were stopped at traffic lights a student shouted, "Oh my God it's Seal!" - sure enough it was. He was sitting in the back seat of an open cabriolet with two women sitting either side of him. Every student got up and dived across to get a look at him. I thought the bus was going to tip over. He smiled and waved to us. I swear it was as though we had just witnessed a living a God. Seal seemed to transcend skin colour or race; everyone was captured by his charisma and energy. He clearly still has the same power today.

Seal is one of the great entertainers of his time. I saw him on this tour in Atlanta Georgia as a spectator a few months ago, and it was fantastic! His band was incredible. I will always be a fan. If he comes back again, I will see him again. Or anywhere close by where I’m living.
