This is ungodly slow…. I just bought a very very clean 08 Altima 3.5 SE with 85k and it’s NOTHING compared to this. When I was looking for a Altima I test drove a 09 2.5 and I felt like I had to floor it just to get to 70. No wonder why Nissans CVTs go out

In the comments for this video, I noticed a number of people asking if you release the clutch quickly or slowly.. I actually tried this about a week ago. For me, releasing the clutch SLOWLY worked FINE. In fact, I tried it once using 1st gear and once using 2nd gear, releasing the clutch gradually each time. My car started in both cases. It felt to me like there was less of a jolt to the car, when I used 2nd gear, so I would recommend using 2nd gear preferentially over 1st gear.. Basically, you're transferring the energy of the rolling wheels of the car to rotate the crankshaft of the engine. And if the crankshaft rotates quickly enough, it will undergo a self-sustaining combustion process. If you've ever started a lawnmower, by pulling the cord, you've already push started a combustion engine! The cord causes the crankshaft of the lawnmower to turn, and if you are able to turn it quickly enough, the crankshaft undergoes a self-sustaining combustion process. In fact, when I was able to successfully push start my manual car, when it sputtered to life, it sounded just like when a lawnmower sputters to life, after a successful pull off the lawnmower's pull cord!
