I love their version but it seems everyone sings it as a dirge instead of the triumphal piece it should e.

It is one of my favourite hymns, but, wonderful as this rendition is, I wish they wouldn't 'mess it around' - I think it's at its most powerful when it is sung straight. Same with the US Army Band version. I suppose if you hear it so often you feel you have to 'do' something with it. I'd like to hear a more conventional version as well
