What a beautiful setting - I'm probably blaspheming here but I actually prefer this to the setting Randall Thompson did in Frostiana - while the latter captures the lilt and tremble of snowflakes in the air, Whitacre better evokes the stillness of night, the placid grace of sleep. Thank you so much.
