I always want to be a person who still clings to God’s promises through hard times. I’ve not had to deal with a death of a child or spouse, but I pray of I ever do that I will remember God’s love and His plans for us.

Uhhhh this is what happens when Christians don’t have a correct understanding of all the different roles of the Holy Spirit in our lives as believers. True, the evidence of the Holy Spirit being in our life is not only speaking in tongues because the fruits of the spirit are separate. When we are born again our spirit becomes swept clean of sin and our spirits become pure and righteous before God. THEN we are able to be FILLED with the Holy Spirit as the believers were on the day of Pentecost. Thats a separate process and the evidence of that occurrence IS speaking in new tongues. It’s for everyone who believes it is possible as Jesus spoke: “these signs SHALL follow those that believe…”. When you are born again you have a measure of the Holy Spirit come into you and make you like Jesus. You do have a measure of the holy spirit working in your life but being filled to overflow is different and the proof of that second experience is speaking in tongues. And it’s for every believer.

God doesn't exist

I hardly ever here someone say the evidence of the Holy Spirit is the knowledge, understanding and obedience of keeping the Lord’s Commandments.

Wow amen! Blood shed at 9am and the spirit left him at 3pm. Bible says in the blood is the life of the animal. And the Holy spirit left him at 3pm. The only one who could have been the perfect sacrifice to save us.

There’s much more than that. The Scriptures are clear the evidence of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit brings about a rebirth. A transformation. And it produces fruit of the spirit which are love, joy, peace, mercy, forgiveness, patience, and self control. Jesus said by their fruits, we shall know them! He also said, a man must be born again. A new creature, unlike the old sinful one.

wow, really. The entire Bible is full of symbolism, all of the tabernacle ceremonies are pointing to Jesus and it's a symbolic ritual. I feel like im a bit of a fault to that. I am picky. But I seek truth. I seek Gods love as well as the fear of Him. I dont want to just hear how merciful and loving He is. I want to hear consequences and discipline. I want to be surrounded by people who dont want to use his name for a good image. Instead, use his good name to mold my image. What is God's preference? That's what's important. Nobody will be worshipping in heaven by their own preference, they'll be there cause they learned God's preference.
