I can't believe you are looking at your son half the time while you are driving that truck. I just hope you do not run over a cyclist or pedestrian before you know it. Wearing flip-flops is also very responsible and the way you are shifting is like you are determined to ruin that box. Anything else you do right that I missed feel free to tell.

My other question is- It seems like the 4-yard ford dump truck I drove for the state that was diesel. On that you had to get your rpm way up before you shift. I think you find out shifting will be much smother. Big trucks like high rpm when shifting.
my question is- The truck does not have power steering, would a turning nob help, maybe two of them on the 2 and 10 o'clock position. maybe another one on the 6 o'clock.
My dad used to drop me to school on a deuce, i was only 5 years old at the time.. one day ill get one and get to drop my kids to school in the future with a deuce
Brilliant video man can you please do more like this one only a lot longer, but make the RPM up shifts even higher because that would sound amazing. Stay safe have a good one.
Love the sound of them! My Dad was stationed in Alabama when they came out. I was in the 5th grade then. First ones didn't have superchargers and smoked like mad. We joked that they were using Peanut oil for fuel. Yes, they will run on Peanut Oil! They will run on almost any liquid that burns.
Oh man I wish I could have one of these could get one or I wish I knew somebody that had one and I could borrow it for a few days or like a week and I could take my nephew to school a couple times in it and now that would be funny awesome even though I know it's grotesquely inefficient that would be so much fun to drive for a week
Haha the looks are real! People are either pointing giving you the thumbs up or laughing their arses off. Doesn’t matter the vehicle I’ve been in Ferrets CMP’s Land Rovers Landcruisers. Little kids pointing and getting all excited are the best I used to be that little kid
Brings back great memories! I was tossed into a deuce and half when arrived at Fort Hood as a new soldier back in 1995. I was in a mostly all male unit and so I wanted to make sure I could drive any and all vehicles. I got licensed on this, the 5 ton, HMMWV, and a bobtail and trailer. Good times!
He's driving my crazy, He spends more time looking back at the camera, then looking where he's going.
At 8 mpg, that's an expensive ride to school.

“Yeah, my dad’s Rambo”
Id like to see these things go through some intense mud tracks like the roads in the Congo. Would these hold up?
🇺🇸 and for graduation and prom night will be arriving in a uh-1 💪
You need this truck for zombie apocalypse you can dump any fuel in it as long it's combustible 😉
Is that the stock muffler on that truck??? Sounds amazing!
Don’t worry about noise. It’s got nothing on a Detroit.
Not nothing on a c turbo too, mines is way more louder in comparison, you can't even have a normal convo in mines lol
Cool memories being made.
hey doug, your ride for sale? ;>)
That is awesome driving the Deuce to school and not too loud
讓人懷念的引擎聲!

Why yes, it’s the truck Rambo dateless and drove ❤

Badass fucking truck if I’ve ever seen it
When I was in the army, I saw lots of this beast. Most of them was made in 1935. They work as a new ones.
