Metal detecting WW2, part 23

Welcome to my second metal detecting video of this year 2023. After the last video, we found a new great spot in the forest on the former Western front. It was a time capsule where time has stood still. It is forever asking yourself what happened here between U.S. and German soldiers in 1944/45. Enjoy.

*The two magazines are not for the German MP40, but for the US M3 Grease submachine gun* Here's another photo report from our metal detecting trips we made earlier this year in the beautifull forests, with their dark history. We found a pit full of stuff from the soldiers as they left it in 1944/45. Very special to find. Also a very special find of a US soldier who did not survive the war... Th...

Bei ritrovamenti 😊
Super!
After all these years of digging, you should be able to open a small museum. 🗡🪖🪒🪥 Thanks again for these good videos, always well informed, it's a pleasure. 🔎
Hi mate, is appreciated. The small museum is already there. ;) grtz
Lekker man

Yes it was! Thanks mate.
Absoluut!
It is always with great pleasure that I discover your videos. Perhaps you will be able to contact the family of Charles DILBECK to send them a photo in Habersham, Tennessee 👍 😉
Thanks mate! I will try to get in contact, but it's not an easy job. We shall see.
Mooi werk, Brabber!
@@Grandmenil Thanks Bob!
Great relics!!!
Thanks man.
Since all these years, what updated discoveries. I'm waiting for the pictures of the result of the bayonet cleaning. Thank you Frank for sharing your research with us, I love it ! 🎖♣⛏
Thank you mate! I will keep the bayonet in his 'jacket''. Thats the way I found him, still a piece of history.
Loved it 🤜🤛👍👍
He Co, Dankjewel man. Grtz...
Ik zag hem voorbij komen idd. Geweldig. Mooie avonturen in de bossen en beekjes. Enjoy en op naar de volgende 🤜🤛👍👍
Your one of my favorite metal detecting guys watch you since 2011.
Nice to hear. Thank you. We don't do it for the show but we do it for the passion. I make the video's with only photo's on location, and only the really interested can appreciate this. Be well, and as long as we can, we'll keep posting., Regards!
Niets zonder jou.
Sono tutti ritrovamenti interessanti
Grazie.
Nice 👍👍
Great video enjoyed
Brabber waren prachtige momenten om her te beleven.
Dat was zeker weer een prachtig zoekjaar Great
I always appreciate this quality work from my old friend with whom I was able to play for many hours at Medal of Honor and who subsequently discovered this passion for lost objects from the Second World War. Thank you for sharing. 👍 💥
Thanks you mate! Yeah thats a long time ago! Cheers!
Great finds, good luck next's year!!
Thanks mate! Also applies to you!
Gaaf hoor.
Jij weer veel succes in 2022. Come On! :)
Hey Brabber!
Klasse ouwe rammer! Ik hoop dat het goede port was! Thanks mate.
Anders volgende keer een Tripel Karmelietje!
Does H.J. on the pen stands for what I think that it stands for? And in your latest video's you do get more and more shots of you laying down...
I know what you mean. I have done some research for the letters H.J. Its not official HitlerJugend issued, probably private creation of a soldier, same meaning.
Back to the old gloves... Und 1:35 Deutsch Rostfrei ist wirklich Rostfrei.6.52 Yes new gloves back!
New gloves nice! 5:03 interesting that the throat microphone says T-30 D because Western Electric Co., Inc. only made the T-30 A, B, F and Q version.
0:23 Did you know that the 390th Electronic Combat Squadron carried the nickname: "Wild Boars"? *And happy to see you back in the video ;)
2:00 Same pocket knife as in Metal detecting WW2 part 7, 2:56?
No, this one has ivory grips on it.
Grazy that everywhere you go and find those toothpaste tubes and they stay in such great shape!
Most of the ones I find are in bad shape and they just fall apart. But you don't see this in the video.
Good to see that even when you are looking for history you still respect the present and the nature you are in. 4:44
It's the magic combination my friend!
1:08 The Germans basically used to use two types of gasmasks. The m30 and the M38 by the little holes in the rounds I think these are M30's. The M38 used a different way of attachment.
Happy to (not) see you back in the video's. 0:53
4:48 the symbolic of the olive branch and the arrows could not be more striking.
4:48 the symbolic of the olive branch and the arrows could not be more striking.
Considering the size of the cion on 6:06 I guess a 20 pfennigs from before 1908?
I wonder if the Ritter Aluminium Company is the same that still exsist today in Wienstadt, Germany?
I think it is!
Big fan of the video parts in this movie. You channel really goes more professional but a bit sorry to see that it goes at the expense of your metal detecting qualities.
LOL
Maybe good to mention that U.S. soldier on 3.11 is using his M1 Garand rifle with a M7 launcher attachment.
Any cleaning updates on those U.S. Polaroid goggles? And what are you using for cleaning? Citric Acid?
I have used only water for cleaning. A find does not have to be new, it must continue to radiate history.
On 4:31 you found a German 7.92 casing. But I assume it is a Mauser S.m.E?
Could also. 7,92 caliber has been used at several types of rifle's (K98, G43) and machine guns. (MG34/MG42)
Amazing that you found a 25" pounder. Great piece of engineering. The Canadians used to use that all the way into the Korean war and even after that till 1960.
You're right mate! It's a gun caliber with a great history.
Hi there , some very nice finds my friend well done have dropped you a sub to ATB GL & HH Rob .
Thanks mate!
Quality work that is still remarkable. Nice.
You guys get some nice WW2 finds out of the earth.👍👍
Thanks man. You also do a good digging-job! ;)
Mooi!
Amazing finds👍🏼
Nice Frank. It s amazing
