Thanks for the very informative and professional review. Absolutely love the knife. All that jimping is perfect for control when removing the hide on my next deer. For EDC the sheath is truly perfect. Lots of sheath-hating going on at the gideonstactical channel, and supposedly "the forums"', but the small virtually flat back is much more comfortable than any Kydex sheath. Carrying inside the waistband, attached to a good belt, drawing the knife couldn't be easier. The same goes if clipped to my backpack. Demanding Benchmade provide a sheath that is easy to remove one-handed to make the Dacian worth the price is just stupid. If you just have to have a Kydex sheath go buy a Speedgoat Ultra (with no jimping) for over $50 more at MKC.

Do you know if he’s planning a larger run in the future? I really want one but funds are tight right now.

I love my Dacian... buyer beware the sheathe is total shxt. I'm looking for an aftermarket sheathe as we speak.

Just got one and my blade is magnetised. Anyone else have this issue?

Is it just the look that’s bad or is there any actual problem in terms of locking or durability from your experience?

I litterally just got the exact same one today with CPM magna cut.

Exactly why im sticking with my asher little buddy. Dam good small edc fixed blade s90v steel, g10 and an actual kydex sheath that i can buy 2 for the price of one of these.

Hey REC, Great Review. I also really like the Benchmade Dacian, and it is officially ON the wish-list to purchase, but there are some others I planned to get first from LionSteel as well as the new Benchmade 940 in copper color and the Benchmade PSK. So many cool knives and not enough paychecks! The Dacian really is a beautiful knife. I'm glad to see Benchmade coming out with such a functional and stylish design - VERY COOL! I hear what you're saying about getting smaller fixed blades for EDC - I've been enjoying the same thing recently. Thanks for the great review!

I've been carrying this knife for about a week now. No problems with the knife but the sheath is a complete miss. Knife won't stay sharp due to the sheath. If you buy plan on having and aftermarket sheath made.

This is a terribly rated balisong with cheap handles and it just runs on washers. It’s genuinely one step above a gas station butterfly knife.

Hey Lyle, Excellent Review. I'm also a Benchmade fan - especially the Adamas series. I definitely want to get a PSK (in carbon fiber) - BEAUTIFUL! I don't mind assisted knives; some people get all upset about them, but I think they're kind of fun to deploy "with authority"! I especially like that it's in CPM MagnaCut Steel!

$300? dude that’s enough money to have a small custom maker make one in magnacut and actually give it a perfect heat treat. NKW and other guys like that have their customs under $300 in some cases.

For 300$ I will carry my spk shark, cerberus knives riott or sus, the lambfoot mary by jakebcreates, eutsler custom knives duk hunter. Idk it just seems alot. I like the bronze accents on it and the micsrta Is nice. That cerakote is 😝 stonewash not so bad. Maganacut is a good choice but should be about 200$ at the max.

This knife is garbage. Steel, not titanium liners. No bushings. This would be overpriced if it were titanium with bushings. I'm a longtime Benchmade fan, but they screwed this one up bad.

I really like that knife. I just can’t spend $300 on it right now. The wife needs a new phone so I have to be responsible. So saddened

If the sheath of a fix blade doesn’t provide means of being a reliable necker then it’s not an EDC for me. Pity! Knife itself seems great. 🍻🔪
