This community is all about stealing each others ideas haha! I saw someone on the xlights pages do this with their matrix and after making mine...I had a bunch of "strips" left over...I thought...why not use the left overs for my verticals! its been working for three years now without issue!

Absolutely! There’s a gentleman in the hobby community who took a DIY concept that folks using for this purpose, the. He made a kit that you could purchase. There is still some DIY required but if you want a kit he sells them through a vendor called yourpixelstore.com
How awesome, you used deer fence or hardware cloth to mount your lights. I've been doing that for years, cool to see someone else pickup on that.
