I think it would be better for you to just animate it opening his mouth wide once and every time the sound change notes you lengthen his already open mouth a little, especially since I think the point is for his mouth stay wide open like that to make it clear that it looks like a "cave" sorry if its a little confusing, its hard to explain
I don’t think it would be possible to animate riles monsters. Riles designs their monsters strangely so I think it wouldn’t be possible to make a sprite sheet of them. But I don’t know. If you want to animate it, I don’t think it’ll be possible without it looking messy and choppy.
Yeah you would have to redesign the entire monster like uskus did in the druttle video
