Love it!! But man I miss the station lol
@@TechyRodsWire I miss the speed. Lol. The 82 Prelude only has 75hp.
I couldn’t have sold it! To beautiful no way I couldn’t part with her
@@TechyRodsWire 14yrs. It was time. And enough $ had been spent.
Wow, what a beautiful car and impressive garage (with a fussball table as well). I would dream, but at 58 I don’t think it will happen. Thanks for sharing!
@@NR-vw2rd Thank you sir. Glad you enjoyed the video.
I am 611sub yes
Even lol Andrew bro😮
I am rebuilding a 95 Special Edition and desperately need to source seat belts as well. Both fronts are frayed way out!!

@LudeQuest Is one of those the passenger side? I'm still hoping my eBay skills as that's seems be be the only way to find parts for these!! Thanks for the assist.
@@josephhutchison6388 Yes. I posted one for each side.
@@LudeQuest I grabbed them both!
Bro Andrew it’s Kelton from school
My son has a 2 JZ swap in his 86 Conquest. We did this swap at my house in my garage out back. The car is a copper color and has an 83 hood on it. Really impressive looking car. It has I believe a t77 Garret turbo. It has not been upgraded from that other than the fuel pump. I own a fully built 88 Conquest with the 2.6 liter 4. All chrome hard lines with a snider cam and Marnel head. An 18 G turbo. The engine is out while I replace a burnt piston. Over boosted while dialing in the GM maft. I will not make that mistake again. Multi port injection would be great. But the 2JZ is a really nice swap and looks like it came in it.
I first came across the Prelude in the early 2000s when my uncle bought a used one in Nigeria. I think it was a ’95 model, and we took it for a spin together. That thing was fast!
I think I saw a few specs of dirty near the Prelude badge! Just kidding, gorgeous car. Incredible condition. Never seen one in this color, was it a stock option?
@@mikef6063 Color was only offered on SE Preludes in 1995. The Special Edition was offered in 2 colors (gold or green).
I've always loved the design of this car, they look perfect in silver. I especially love the interior with its quirky seats and the Star Trek-style dashboard. It was a fun drive. While these cars will likely explode in value over time, to me, they've always been worth more than they’re given credit for.
It would be sick if someone replaced all of the body panels with carbon fiber.
Very cool SE! I still own my 1996 Honda Prelude VTEC in that beautiful metallic Azure Blue-Green color with tan leather interior. I've owned many different Honda and Acura vehicles... but the fourth generation Prelude is still the best NA sports coupe that Honda ever made in my very bias opinion. Down shifting to get the VTEC to engage and the exceptional road handling performance is still a mind-blowing thrill.
@@cesarjom How many miles are on your Azure and how long have you owned it?
@@LudeQuest 137K miles and purchased from Honda dealership in 1998. I drive my Prelude only a few times in a month on average.
@@cesarjom Mine has 136k on it also.
NICE! Nothing better than running out of space because of too many Ludes. I just purchased my second. Both are 4th gens. The first one I got back in February '07.
I had this same exact car back in 2008-2010. Loved it. My drivers seat was blown too and it had closer to 200,000 miles on it at the time. The rest of the interior was spotless. Sold it because my third kid was born and we needed a bigger car. I’d go back and sell my other car and keep the Prelude knowing what I know now.
@@etspaulding Start looking and find yourself another one. They are still out there.
Yes sir. My son, who I sold the car because of, pointed one out last night as a “cool old car” and rekindled all the memories of that car. We’re on the hunt now.
Beautiful wheels!
I had a 89 blue one. Spun a crank bearing racing a mustang. Very cool cars
Love that 82. I had an 82 in high school, in the late 80s. Same color.
Incredible find. Wow, all that documentation is icing on the cake. Congratulations!
@@TysonHugie I trimmed down the documentation video a lot because it had a lot of personal info showing. But there’s tons of receipts and info not shown….
your garage choice inspires me
HELL YES BRO! Also, what a nice hoist.
@@jasonspellicy Thanks. It’s a Tuxedo FP8K-DX
Beautiful car!
Thats a nice Sn95....
I’ve owned three preludes in my life(a 1992, a 1995, and a 1994), and my current one I have had for 8+ years(1994 with an H22 VTEC) and I love this car. The dashboard is just so unique and cool. The seats are comfortable. It’s fun to drive. I like the low, long hood, the shape of the headlights, and the back of the car. It seemed like the engineers took their time on this car. Unfortunately the maintenance is getting harder every year, parts are so scarce. I’m afraid I’m going to sell it soon and maybe get a more modern car. Thanks for sharing your video and the love and passion you have for the Prelude, I totally understand. Keep these beauties alive!
@@72langsky I’ve yet to encounter any necessary parts that aren’t readily available on RockAuto…
@@LudeQuest the idle air control valve for the 92-96 has been out of stock for years, my car has the annoying idle. Also my fuel/temp gauge has burnt out 3 times and unfortunately there hasn’t been a 4th gen prelude at a nearby pick-n-pull junkyard that I could harvest one from.
@@72langsky Check 4th Gen FB group. Guy named Sebastian Wehner in Germany rebuilds the fuel/temp gauge for $200. He did mine also. Should last an extremely long time.
@@72langsky RockAuto has the IACVs. Yes, new OEM items are hard to find. But plenty of aftermarket support.
@@LudeQuest thanks for the help brother!
we need a full on quirks and features review of the 1st gen
I’ll make one for sure. Got another addition coming to the garage this week that will help free up space.
I think I remember seeing that 82 for sale recently. I also owned an 82, 5 speed in the same Windsor Blue, back in HS.
Yep. It was posted for sale on one of the Prelude FB groups.
I love your 95 Prelude SE. Your recent addition, 1982 Lude looks like a keeper! I have owned my 1995 Prelude VTEC since 1997 I am the 2nd owner...mine is black on black. i dig your color combo on your 95 SE.. Love your attention to detail...glad you were able to repair the damage from the scooter easily. I enjoy your content. Thank you for sharing.
Hmm. I’m a huge fan of black on black. How many miles are on it? And do you keep it garaged always?
@@LudeQuest I’ve got just 202,300 freeway miles and it is garaged 100% since I got her- volumes of service records. I’ve got a lot of pics if your provide email address will send to you. This prelude was my dream cart. I bought a 2014 Acura TL in 2017 since then she gets driven less than 200 miles per year. She is so much fun to drive
Ouch!!! Makes me cringe!!
I totally agree with your enthusiasm for the prelude because I love them. My first car was a navy blue 94 SI back in 2007 which i crashed it in 2012. Now i have 2 1996 SI (project of course) which hopefully one of them will be ready to hit the streets again. You inspired me to start doing videos of the restoration to show the world how beautiful the prelude was in the 90's. Sorry for my grammar and kudos from Brownsville Texas the city on the border by the sea
Thank you for watching. Keep your eyes peeled for a new video in the next few weeks. I found a mint 1982 Prelude that is pretty amazing!
I have an 87 with 91k miles and it runs like crap 😢
Got this exact car in high school. Bought it off my neighbor who had it for years. 😥 Had to sell it when I moved to L.A. a few years later.
Great video of the SE. I sure would like to get another 4th gen prelude to go with my 4th gen TA. These are fantastic cars. Loved my 92.
Is it common to have the gas and temp gauges not work correctly?
Extremely common. They burn out and need to be repaired or replaced. Check the Facebook group “4th Gen Honda Prelude” and find member “Sebastian Wehner”. He repairs them. I had to replace mine in the gold car.
I have a 1990 Honda Accord LX and my Dad and I took the gauge cluster out to try and fix the speedometer and milage because they were frozen. When we put them back, they never worked again after that. I figured out that it was completely unnecessary to take out the gauge cluster because it was just a faulty speed sensor.
Quit buying 4th gens! Im trying to find one in decent shape...they are unicorns LOL
You can buy this red one if you want to make a trip to SC.
@@LudeQuest Definitely a drive, im in Texas. Let me give it some serious thought...im leaning towards a drive might be easier because everything here is looking like nearly full restoration and chasing down original parts lol
Wow glass sunroof too
I miss having 7 LX coupes in the yard and people stopping by waking me up daily to talk about them 😢.
What happened to the hot dog
I'll take the dash mats if you're selling them?
No. I’ll leave them with the car.
I love Preludes!!!!!
Great find. I just picked up a 1993 Milano Red Si 5-speed last week. I might need to pick your brain about it as I go along.
Hey man I got a 4th gen prelude too would you be willing to do any parting out?
Yes. I’m parting out the rough gold one
