But there are a lot of other business you will be competing against. Best to start with minimal overheads. Build an excellent website and gather some equipment that convert the tapes to digital at highest quality. Maybe trial and error at first but eventually you may get there.

Sorry we don’t share complete pull parts and put back together tutorials. Best to send damaged lenses to an authorised Sony repair centre. These lenses aren’t to complicated to pull apart if your experience with lens repairs, but once you get into the internals of the barrels the focus alignment can be altered. Also sometimes the screws that hold the barrels together are glue locked super tight and you want to avoid damaging the head of the screw making it sometimes impossible to take out.

Where were you able to find the compartment replacement?

parts available from Sony for camera repair centres. For public try eBay or AliExpress. I would highly suggest sending your camera to a recruitable Sony Service Center. This is not a camera I would advise pulling apart if you have had no experience pulling Sony Mirrorless camera apart. Could create some major issues.

It is an internal clock battery. The camera would have to be pulled apart to find it. I would highly suggest that the video camera be taken to someone that is a Sony professional repair to get it changed.

Send it in to camera repair shop and generally the lens gets replaced.

Inbetween the lens barrels, also can come through the battery compartment, SD card socket, USB ports. Anywhere there is a tiny gap

I would not recommend trying to do this repair, send it to a camera repair expert. I have had customers come in after they tried to repair and ended up costing them more money than it would have cost if they sent it in for repair.

you can deactivate the shutter so it is not active when shooting. But yes it does ruin the images if it is damaged. Also can scratch the sensor. Best to get it replaced

@@panteliskalogeropoulos If it is damaged then you will need to get it replaced. just for future use, go into silent mode. That should allow the shutter to last a lot longer

No, they all models have different shutter units. Only use the same model shutter for your camera.

Sony spare parts distributor in Australia. You will have to be a camera repair shop to create an account to order parts. Or try eBay or AliExpress. You maybe able to find there parts a little easier there

The main board, job was never completed, the new LCD screen didn’t work. When the customer tried to fix it they must have shorted something out on the main board. I couldn’t locate the faulty components on the main board unfortunately. The main board replacement and the back LCD PCB was an expensive part so the they didn’t not go ahead with the repair.

They have designed them a little tricky to pull apart. They are held together from the inside. I would highly recommend sending it to a repair technician. Try and deal direct with the technician for a fair assessment. These units are easy to make the slightest mistake when pulling them apart if you have no experience. If you want to attempt it, practise on another unit that you don’t mind making mistakes on to familiarise yourself with the sets in pulling apart and putting back together.

well i did two camera factory resets and the control wheel suddenly started working normally. Hope it stays that way for a while.

Or the connectors that the flex ribbon sits in and the main board can stop an LCD screen from working.

Be sure to use your camera at least once every month to prevent the battery from being discharged, according to the manual.
