We had great weather. We caught two fish on the KOBO Power Reel - a sword and a wreckfish. We’re looking forward to getting back to Beaufort.

Daytime and nighttime swordfishing in Texas. This trip we went 12:14 during the Swordfish Showdown. Our largest fish was 166lbs. We used hand-crank reels and KOBO Power Reels. All reels were fished on Check'N Bottom Rods. We fished on the Catillac out Tiki Island Texas, a 46 Invincible catamaran with a 5 man crew.

A quick trip to the sword grounds for reel testing. We set the hook at 25lbs and fought the fish at 15-17lbs. Fishing was out of Galveston Texas on a 35 Contender. We fished KOBO Power Reels and this fish was caught on the buoy.
