@@leonknook_Lens_Idiot The factory was located in Quarry Bay. The name was Boyuen ( literally in Chinese means treasure sources) I worked there for summer job in 1975. I witnessed skilled technicians worked on machines grinding optics. They taught me nothing as if keeping some secrets. the factory was a manufacturer of telescopes, slides projectors, also under licensed to supply products for Pentax. that is all i know, only a small piece of history of Hong Kong industry. thankful to you for holding a physical piece of history which illuminate our glorious past. thank a lot!

@@leonknook_Lens_Idiot il contenuto è interessante. La voce a volte suona strana, accenti sbagliati per esempio. Ma sono le voci che ormai molti usano. Magari miglioreranno col tempo. È inquietante la persona che muove le labbra in italiano. Forse meglio lasciare l'originale ma con l'audio in italiano come il doppiaggio al cinema.

Thanks! Not long ago the 28-200mm F/2.8-5.6 Di III RXD came out. That's actually the closest thing if you really want to use just 1 lens. Photographers rave about this lens. I didn't know it was possible.

What does one cost, American dollars, where you live? I have to admit you live is a very beautiful aera. I live across the world, near Los Angeles, California. Quite a difference in scenery from your area. But we do have our lovely sites to photograph.

@@bondgabebond4907 The lens is not sold separately, it is always attached to an old rangefinder camera. There must be quite a few of them in the world. I got this one from a local thrift store for 10 bucks. But as I said, you still have to do some work to get it on your digital camera. My surroundings are not particularly beautiful. Almost all of these photos were taken in our wild garden. These places can be found all over the world, it is a matter of looking at very small things. Sometimes I see things through the lens that I do not expect at all, so it is also a matter of trying.

@@ohjajohh Thank you! That lens feels really plastic, but the optics are surprisingly good. Always nice to see quality coming out of a cheap lens. On 10-21-2024 I will come up with the 35mm F3.5 from this brand.
