CGC seems to be all over the place with this stuff. It’s not just comics. I have 2 card submission that are on the way back from CGC but they are still marked received on my dashboard. Someone is sleeping 💤 over there 😂

Possibly, But keep in mind that the books from the 80's & 90's do not have the same print quality as today's modern ones. There could have been some issues on the interior pages that could have affected the overall grade of the book.

I just took another look at the graders notes since CGC has been including them on 9.6's recently and it states very "light spine stress lines" as the reason behind the grade

Thanks, it seems like these days people are quick to react to negative news without looking into the actual facts. I have many CGC slabs in my PC from the past 20 years that if I were to inspect closly now, I would see inner sleeves with some curvature to them. I actually have quite a few hanging on my walls & with the LED lights reflections can see many imperfections on them. Does that mean they were not graded properly or are no longre considered 9.8? IMO I don't think so, if we go through our own books we will find imperfectins too. In the end we are getting the books graded/slabbed to perserve them. I constantly hear people complaining about the actual cases being scratched or scuffed somtimes. Bro are you buying the case or the Comic book inside? I find that some people are just too critical in their expectations.

For sure I checked. Luckily these were already slabbed but were held up at Shiping since mid July becauing accounting made a miske and put a hold on it.

@@Animaniac_1980 seriously CGC has been really taking their time with returning signature series books lately. I’ve had some there since June and July that have yet to be returned.

@@rickderris5294 it’s not considered restoration because you’re not adding anything to the book to make it look better your actually removing an extra piece that doesn’t belong there. Hence making the book normal again. I’ve done this on a wolverine limited series number 3 and gotten back at 9.6 blue label
