I think Joe should stay at this job,you gotta build up to the next World Cup also
I'm with you PixelPotato, it feels that Schmidt is the building block which allows the rest of the Aussie rugby ecosystem to retain and build on it's stability.
🔥
Thank you Johanna!
Fair play m8 I think the Wallabies are a danger team once they come together they can beat anyone
Cheers mate. There are positive signs but honestly, there is a long road ahead before I am calling them world beaters. But depending on how the Aussies teams do in Super Rugby in 2025, the timeline could perhaps be sped up.
Biggest issue is evolving the game into something other than a posh private school boys' snob fest.
I think rugby honeslty does need to look at itself, and those tweaks don't actually seem like they cost a lot of money or effort to make. Hoping to see some changes, at least in how things are done in Australia, throughout the Super Rugby Pacific. Was there any particular issue you had in mind? Would be excited to hear and maybe I do a video on the issues of rugby's profile.
Laurie Fisher and Larkham . Need only 2 coaches. All we need
Not a bad combo Alan! I am hoping Larkham really shifts gears for this Super Rugby Pacific competition.
Also no mention of the junkyard dog!? The disrespect haha
😂 I'll leave that for the Super Rugby review, I personally think he is EOYT material for 2025, but we already have a lot of young guns in the backs, Jorgo, Suaalii, Lancaster all 21yo and under.
I rate Tane Edmed, keen to see him get another go in the wallabies jersey and to see his performance in SRP
I think he will absolutely get another shot, and it's my hope that get's at least a handful of opportunities to prove himself. At the Tahs, with Mike Catt as the attack coach, Edmed should continue to grow, with a better and more balanced backline outside him he could quickly gain some clout.
🎉🔥
Thank you!!
Imagine Sua’ali’i after a season in super rugby 😍
It's super exciting to think about his potential. I think he has the focus to become a great student of the game and he may surprise us in how he takes his game to the next level. If he wants to play 15 (not that I know that he does) then kicking strategy and positional play will be crucial for him to master.
Rob Leota will be back in the picture next year. Perfect backrow replacement ahead of Gleeson.
Yes, Leota to return! Very exciting as there are a couple injured capped Wallabies who could shift the dial for the Lions!
🎉
Happy with the game but the ref especially at the last ruck got it wrong. We should have had a penalty but Ireland go onto score
It was a mess wasn't it? A penalty for Lolesio to draw the game would have been almost too much to handle that early in the morning haha.
Ireland fan here. We were probably a bit lucky with this one. I knew when you guys got Joe Schmidt he would turn you around fairly quickly but he really has worked some miracles in short order. Happy enough to get the win but also genuinely happy that the Aussies are back in top flight rugby.
@@neilmontgomery3470 Cheers Neil! We were in dire need for a miracle after the disaster that was 2023, so Schmidt was/is very welcome. I think you guys just procved you have the depth and continuity that is still a head above us, and showed how to close out tight games, that's where our inexperinece lost us a handy lead. But Doris was awesome!
🔥
Viewer from Ireland. Wishing Aus rugby the best except for this weekend.
Haha cheers Neil! it was a great game in the end, review video out now!
Big Edmed fan. Hope he goes well
We were beaten in the backrow last week. People tell me Valetini has great hit up and font on tackle stats - sounds like an NRL prop's stats. Do you think it's time to bench him and use him for late impact, and select a #6 who has the speed to get across and make some break down turnovers, & try saving cover tackles out wide?
Not a bad shout there Ian, but I do think he currently is too important to bench. If we had a better ball running no.8 which gave us good gainline and had Tupou and Bell as well as Skelton then we may be able to afford it, but I like the impact angle!
I think suaalii needs to be picked first 15, the australians went from the worst contested high ball wins to one of the best 👌 he is a game changer for the wallabies
Agreed, his restart threat and Williams' security under the kick-off receipts mean the Wallabies can dominate that part of the game. The kick off is often thought about the unofficial third set piece, very crucial part of the game.
Good video bro, very analytical and professional 👍
Thank you trilli! Will keep em coming
Its no gonna get easier fuur you`s when you cross the waater , at least Joe will get a better idea ae whut he faces next year though its one bit of the British Isles he knows better than most, lets hope fuur a cracker
Very honest though I might point out you were more put out with injuries before and during the match , oor weather didn`t help either , we were missing two big talents Kyle Mac-Steyn and somebody you might have heard of Jack Francis Mac-Dempsey . You have earned my subscription son and of course its a like
Agreed, I wrote a piece about it, which is here should you like to read it: www.theroar.com.au/2024/11/28/wallabies-are-two-years-away-from-their-sweet-spot-schmidt-is-trying-to-speed-up-the-process-with-scattergun-selections/
McDermott should start. Williams not great. We need best front row. That front row against Scotland was woeful
Yeah it's all a little unstable at the moment, I agree re the front row, I have a team selection reaction/preview video going up now! Give it a watch and let me know your thoughts.
@@OfftheRuck still not happy with front row. If Faessler is injured nought we can do about that. He paired well with Bell. Nick Frost gives us height but lacks aggression. If they can sort their tackling out that would be excellent; love to see backs move the ball 1974 style Good work on your analysis. I subbed
@@alanbstard4 I agree Alan! I wrote a piece about the front row woes on the roar: www.theroar.com.au/2024/12/04/hope-has-been-restored-report-card-wallabies-autumn-nations-series-2024/ and I also wrote a specific piece about scrummagers on RugbyPass www.rugbypass.com/news/the-wallabies-have-a-serious-problem/ So we are definitely of the same mind. I agree, Faessler has quickly become the glue for setpiece and connection, not necessarily the biggest scrummager, but nonethless vital for the functionality of the LO, maul and on the field connection. Thanks so much for your SUB!! Very appreciated! 🤩
Good content. A mate on twitter shared your video and I'm glad he did. Will you be doing any livestreams during games either on RUclips or tiktok? Seen a lot of Kiwi and South African livestreams but no Aussie ones
Cheers mate! Livestreams during games is definitely something I have considered and I am glad you mentioned it to me, it lets me know there's an appetite for it. So let's see how we go during next year's Super Rugby Pacific. Also, please share my channel with friends and other rugby lovers and hopefully we can grow the game of union!
Also back having Edmed on the bench, mans well and truly earn't it
Yep for sure, if Schmidt is just going to play Donaldson for 10 minutes in every Test may as well try someone new.
Great prediction, keen to watch the boys schmit it in!!
Yewww!
Cheers Niam!
🔥
Just finished the game and came straight here for the analysis, great stuff!
Thank you very much! A new video about the Ireland Test will be out tomorrow or Thursday!
A tough loss after playing so well against England and Wales
It was, but had I think we Wallaby supporters can be comfortable that had we had Faessler, Williams, Tupou, Paisami, Kerevi and that game probably would've been a 80 minute game in similar contention to the first 40. Ending the first half at 7-3 was a true reflection of the Wallabies' ability in all facets of the game.
@OfftheRuck I'm a reds supporter and a paisami fan but he's dropped in form the last 18mths for me
@@trilli7914 He just doesn't go well against big body players. Plays like a Superstar against Aussie teams but goes missing against NZ, SA etc
@@ThaUnit fair comment
@@trilli7914 I think he will rediscover his form in 2025. Expect a big year from him.
🔥
The man !
Cheers my bro!
Best of luck mate. Hope the channel takes off. The more rugby content the better.
Thank you very much. My thought's exactly.
