Skeleton crew is fun but super safe and i doubt it’s gonna give us fight choreography like the acolyte or a visceral moment like bleeding a crystal while force joking the Jedi master who betrayed you. Acolyte had its flaws the review bombing came from people who went in wanting to hate it and the rotten tomatoes score isn’t remotely close to an accurate reflection of the quality.

@outerplanetsgaming I went in wanting to love it. I think a lot of honest people did the same. It did have some good parts, but they could over take the bad. The story was not good and was mostly predictable.

@@markfields5214some of it was not predictable at all. I saw literally zero people predict that the twins were created by tapping into a vergence. That was the biggest mystery. I didn’t see a single person predict that most of the witches died from Indara lashing back at them as they controlled kelnacca. The qimir thing was predictable but I liked what Headland said about it, that he wasn’t the twist there, the twist was these Jedi were really gonna die and they used jecki’s body as the curtain. The only things I saw people guessing correctly in any large amount were all heavily foreshadowed or implied.

@outerplanetsgaming that's why I said mostly predictable. A dull story can have some twists and turns that are not predictable, but that doesn't improve the experience very much. What you end up with is the same dull story and known twists if you watch it again. I judge shows and movies based on if I will watch it again. I've watched Skeleton Crew by myself, with my son, and I watch the first 2 with my wife to catch her up. That's three times I've watched them and I still enjoy them. I watched Acolyte once, and I care nothing about watching it again. I do believe people hated on Acolyte without watching it, and that is wrong. That being true does not mean Acolyte is actually good.

@ it really wasn’t all that predictable, not the big things that weren’t intentionally heavily implied. Skeleton crew doesn’t seem to be any less predictable. And I’ve watched the acolyte several times. When I did a watch party for episode 5 and the finale everyone wanted to watch those again that night. Those episodes were both fire.

@@nasenaffed8037 lots of shows take a handful of episodes (or even more) to get really good. I found breaking bad extremely boring for like 6 episodes, clone wars took me maybe 3 seasons to get into.

Pashang ya, that scene was a good tough one. When this play through ends I'm gonna replay until I figure out how you did that (don't spoil it, I'm looking forward to trying to figure that out)
