Prime 3 was the one metroid game that actually had me feeling genuinely bad for Samus. Not only for this scene where something that makes sypholic acid look tame comes up her throat, also all the emotional pain she has to endure in having to kill 3 close comrades. I can't think of a metroid game she suffered more in
Maybe in fusion cs in fusion, you have to take into account everything that happened in other m that deeply affected Samus + as we know, in fusion's opening Samus was dying had it not been for the baby Metroid cell saving her life then waaay later during the end of fusion, Samus was legit thinking of just killing herself with the BSL station had it not been for AI Adam snapping her out and making her do a better choice Bonus: we also can't forget the times how stressed she felt when she was being chased by SA-X

I always found this fascinating, this is why Samus is my favorite Nintendo character. Never in a million years would we ever see Mario or even Link vomit on screen like this, really makes Samus feel human and venerable. I remember I was quite shocked when I first saw this happen back in 2007
