Endler: Genuine Campona Eclipse Endler
Look at all the Endlers! No wonder you are building a new fish room! Photos just cannot capture the iridescence of these fish. I call my males "little jewels" as they really shine. The snakeskin ones at 3:05 and 3:17 caught my eye. If they are iridescent on top of their pattern, then they would be truly beautiful fish! I'm still negotiating some more living room real estate for another tank, as I'm gonna need one soon! Take care.
This is really interessting!hope youll do more vid like this
Thank you so much. Yes trouble is no one with correct information has ever stepped up. As a result the Endler has suffered. I should release 52-100 Endler videos this year. As well an equal amount covering all aspects of fish food. (Ark BioRite Powerfood). I am releasing color variety videos on the back story of their development. I suspect you will love those. Have you tried the Ark BioRite Powerfood yet? If not reach out on the website to Noah for a free sample!!! Keep-em-swimming………
@@ArkBioAquatics1758 im from Malaysia so the free sample cant reach here i think
I really enjoyed this video. The Endlers I got from you from you last November are doing great and I am thoroughly enjoying them.
So awesome. They are a great species to enjoy. Have you checked out Ark BioRite Powerfood? Send us some Endler pictures! Also watch the video on super colonies. All information that even breeders do not know. Blessings brother!
Remember as you watch these Ark BioRite Powerfoods is the fuel behind the fish's success!
Interesting and informative video. I haven't had a guppy is well over 50 years. I didn't care for all the overbreeding and linebreeding being done with this fish. I liked the guppies I had when I was 10 years old and starting out in the hobby. Looking back, they seem to have been what we would now call "wild guppies". They were "polymorphic" (thanks for teaching me a new word) in that their colors and spots were random. That's what I was looking for with Endlers, and have found them with the Endlers from your stock. Plus, the Endlers have that wonder iridescence that the guppies lack. I thoroughly enjoy looking at the males and being able to ID individuals based on their appearance. For the females, all I have is size. Please keep the videos coming, as I learn something with each one. Take care.
Hi Glenn, I look forward to your comments each video. You are right, old days guppy breeding was easy like Endlers are now. You will love the video coming on just the "Pure Cumana Endlers". I am lecturing this Sunday on the history of Endlers and that will be released as a you tube video next week. As well we are building a new state of the art fish room just for Endlers. Here we will be introducing our new breeder racks, all automatic in water changes and feeding. All with 1 gallon containers. Thank you for your support as always!
You dont ship food to Europe?
No reason we cannot ship to Europe. I can certainly look into it. I have a guy in India who sells it. What country are you in?
@@ArkBioAquatics1758 I live in Norway :)
Shipping is tough! And expensive. Do you have anyone from here that may be visiting you? The food has no equal. So thinking long term we would need to know your reorders will flow well! Let’s make it work!
Awesome video! Extremely detailed
Is there any genetic indication that the domestic Campoma strains were initially hybridized?
Campona Endlers are domesticated yes, the polymorphic traits were bred out. My guess is Phillip used virgin guppy females in the process. Seeing his goal was a true breed he did accomplish that. Genuine Campona Endlers are close to Pure Cumana Endlers but not exact in regards to DNA. Best way to look at it is Genuine Campona Endlers are as close to Pure Cumana Endlers but no longer dominated by polymorphic traits. Both groups of Endlers genetically different from Guppies. In both cases the phenotype out weighs all other factors. That make sense? Blessings
Hopefully I finally got notifications set right lol I could have watched this last night lol Looking forward to the EBA and hopefully more information on females. There is so much undocumented information on them. My French blue "lace" I'm working on started my female fascination. French blue is the Asian blau. I figured that out with a French blue x magenta saddleback cross that had a red lower sword mark. That sword mark is the female linked double sword with lower extension. With a male carrying snakeskin tail you get a reserved veil tail with snakeskin edges and a clear center. Trying to force snakeskin body. Genetically should be possible as guppies can do it. But all I have gotten so far is yellow body snakeskin with the double sword. But, that's a recent attempt with a lot of fry in the tank :)
Testing and experimentation is the best way you can learn. Let’s see some pictures of results when you get them! I have a whole video coming on the logics of Endler Genetics in layman’s terms. Thank you for your support! Blessings
Well, once in a while, I feed some frozen daphnia to everyone. Just for a change of pace. I see no reason to use any live food though. Take care, and may God bless.
You really have to start the process with fry. Trick is that they never learn to hunt. It was a long process to discover this about Endlers. Sounds like you have lots of fry, whatever you are doing seems to work! Blessings
Awesome video Noah!
just the video I was waiting for 😄
Awe yes……..
I'm looking forward to the Endler Breeder Association putting up their website. I'm wondering what it will take to join. The only Endlers I have are the ones you shipped me, and I have no need of acquiring any others. My local fish store recently got a whole lot of Endlers in and I asked where he got them, and he said from a breeder in Indonesia. He's keeping the males and females in different tanks. Currently I don't use apps on my phone, but your app might change my mind on using them. Take care, and I'll call you soon.
Your name will be in the EBA listings. : ) Indonesia? Bet there is great quality control in the rice paddies. Asian Endlers are only small guppies or hybrids. Anything they can make money on they will. Endlers struggle with so much mis information. I’m surprised CNN or Don Lemon does not get on the band wagon! EBA will stabilize the industry some. New video released today on Endler Classification. Hopefully it is better than my first 3! : ) Noah
You are smart. One thing did Endlers and guppies like to browse, this makes the smaller pellet size perfect for even the adults! Hard road educating the public that how things have always been may not be the best! As we finish this series it will show deficiencies in most of the lower end fish foods. But by cutting out middle man we can sell a Powerfood for a bargain. Our food would be 3 times more if we used all the middlemen! Thank you for watching Noah
NOAH: I use the Powerfood you sent with the Endlers. In the morning everyone gets the Community Complete food, and in the evening, I give them the Fry Complete, as I have so many babies. I use a floating square to keep an area free of duckweed to feed everyone, and this morning when the light came on, there were three female blue shrimp hanging from it, just waiting to be fed. It's not gonna be too long before I need a bigger tank for everyone. The Powerfood is great food!
Our powerfood will keep the colony growing! New tank means you walking down the Endler rabbit hole! I have 300! Blessings Brother
You came to the right place
Awesome Video! I have trouble keeping my fish alive
Follow the advice here will get you back on track! Blessings
Super females I find as destructive to a colony. Be sure to watch the video on “super colonies” it should be released within a week. It is part of a nutritional education series for fish food by Ark BioRite. How and what we feed our wet pets dictates the health of both the individual and the colony. In this video it is explained what is going on internally with fish colonies. The explanation feeds into the issue of super sized predatorial females.
Personally, I love them lol Much more efficient fry predators than the Bettas lol Been awhile since I had one, but I use them well when they pop up. Usually in the mutt tank or the kiddos Magenta tank with a Betta that guards the fry like his babies lol He gives them a bit of a challenge lol Look forward to the next video. Videos really. My live cultures are going nuts right now, but always need winter chow :)
Yet another excellent video on Endlers. You are expanding my Endler knowledge all the time! Take care.
Thanks Glen! It’s a learning task I was hesitant to do. : )
@@ArkBioAquatics1758 I am glad you are making these. Also puts a face on all our correspondence. My colony is healthy and growing all the time. I am now planning on a larger aquarium to house them!
@@ArkBioAquatics1758 I'm glad you did it :) I appreciate these videos. It expands and condenses a lot of what I read / discuss. There's a lot of assumptions based off guppies that are just not what I see. Can't wait to get to the French blue video. I'm crossing my best form males with purple body females. This makes the blue, orange and black really pop. Also working on a "veil tail" (Asian blau X-linked with homocercal extensions if we want to be specific lol) That is giving me orange markings on the caudal with orange marks in the tail from the original white tail male. Even working blue top fin in slowly:) Thank you, Ben
Thank you for the information! Looking to fill my 100 gallon tank with Endlers! Great video!
Thank you! I did not know you had a 100 gallon!
Out of curiosity, are you talking about the Reznick lab at UCR?
Hi Dirk, thank you for watching. Dr David Reznick and I communicate for a number of topics, however I would not of been referring to his lab in regards to Endlers. Our lab is extensive and we have been testing theories and collecting empirical data for years. This data is shared with the science community. There are many instances where hands on enthusiasts have access to data the universities do not or don’t even know they need it. Please visit ArkBioRite.com. We formulated and have milled our own food for our fishrooms, lab and grow tanks. The food is sold direct so no middlemen!
Another good video, Noah. I'm learning all the time about the behavior I am seeing in my new colony. And I use the power food every day. Take care.
Very interesting! Do you have any blue ENDLERS for sale? Love the content!
The Genuine Campoma Blue Star Endler has two shades of blue with burnt orange accents. The Static Hybrid Japanese Blue gets its blue color from the guppy end of the hybrid linage. Pure Cumana Endlers you rarely see the color blue, likely because there was no purpose for blue. Blue does not lend itself to be iridescent enough for the original Endlers to gain visibility from. The thumbnail picture for this video is two Genuine Campoma Blue Star males. Thank you for watching the video be sure to visit ArkBioRite.com to see our assortment of powerfoods!
Super female is a topic we will cover in detail on another video. Super females develop from females that learn to hunt. They will follow the pheromones of mothers ready to drop and eat the babies that are dropped. These giants generally stop dropping their own fry and literally just become a predator. The video on super females and the upcoming video on how to promote super colonies will provide you with fascinating details! Thank you for watching and commenting. Be sure to check out our powerfoods on ArkBioRite.com
Very cool. I had assumed they were older females, but good to have an explanation :) Observation from a scientific perspective definitely pays off :)
We see same thing Ben, 100 gallons actually is barely big enough to see the behavior of polymorphic males in new areas. Our stock tanks are 300 gallons. Along this train of thought it is interesting to add a very different and bright adult male to an established tank of a different color variety for one week. Then remove the females to drop fry in another tank to monitor. Interestingly the second drop generally will be identical to the new male used. Since they hold sperm for up to 7 drops of fry it shows that the female selected the new color male sperm. This is consistent with all Cumana Endlers. Thank you for watching! Be sure to also visit our Powerfood site: ArkBioRite.com
When you say super female, are you talking about the menopausal cannibals? lol Much better at good fry control than any Betta I put in lol
I love your term for the super females Can I use it? : ) Noah
@@ArkBioAquatics1758 Go for it lol
Good to hear my own observations of males moving around and females having a home area with fry and juveniles when given the space is a thing. Only observe it in the 100 gallon stock tank pond, never the 20 gallon tubs.
Thank you Glenn, most of this was overdue. I hope your colonies are doing well! Blessings
This is a great introduction to Endlers, and why they captured me a few years ago. I am eagerly looking forward to all the videos in this series. Take care.
I LOVE my Endlers from Endler Ark. (And I owe you a write-up. I've been under the weather lately.)
Homemade greenhouse
Great idea! Especially if youve got alot of the left over sponge!
You can raise 12 juvies from fry to adult in these. Easy to store, easy to maintain and the matten filter last 12 months easy.
