I remember playing a game like this one with same music but weird, it's not really the same game. You can choose levels a bit like wario land but it's mario
I wonder if it was a version of Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins? But with this music? That would be interesting...
Once, my mom bought me a bp5, a very old console, there was a lot of games: mario, kirby, street fighters etc. But when I tried this mario game, I heard this music and now I feel nostalgia.

Hades has now become one of my favorite games of all time. The amount of detail in every stage, the arcade-like rewards for getting further and further, the dialogue between each character, this phenomenal music, and possibly the best exploration of Greek Mythology in a video game...Supergiant Games and all the people there are immensely creative folks.
It's a game for me personally (I'm not a huge fan of the genre but I'm happy to watch others play it), but everyone I know who's delved into it has become hooked for so many of the reasons you've just listed!
This song is really good!
Half-Life's soundtrack is really underrated.
