@11.Pierre Yeah bro.😁 I enjoy the 24fps aesthetics in the filmmaking community , but I am also a fan of HFR, and I like tons of motion information rushing through my eyes which gives me a sense of real life, especially captured from such a nice camera.

Actually no! That’s the 50mm, the 125 was trees (very shaky since I didn’t have my tripod on vacation). I am planning to upload more over the next few weeks. This combo really was shining. So I can only imagine how it’ll look with actual proper lighting! Once my 33mm arrives, I’ll do an updated video with tripod and label each shot.

@@11.Pierrethank you! I own the 33mm myself. Incredible piece of glass. The 50 sure looks great. Much more telephoto in regards to bokeh, than I would imagine. Looking forward to more videos from you. Happy new year!

These are full frame. I used everything but 9k. They do have like a 35mm super 35 version but the aside from that lens - they are FF. Planning to do more test with more lenses later this week.

Well go buy the camera and test it lol. If you watch my other videos, you’ll see that I only post about independent stuff that I produce. Nice comment though, it did have me rolling! Besides, there are other channels online with guys shooting on Cooke glass etc - just go watch those 😂🔋. I personally use vintage glass, meike and other canon L glass from my time with canon! So you won’t see me shooting on $10k plus glass right now beyond my vazen 50 which still fell just below 10k when they were in business!

@ Sweet, glad to hear things are busy. Love to see how it renders black skin tones, how natural the sensor looks/ feels. Not necessarily looking for scientific tests.

I personally hate scientific test lol so that works. This is going to be my A Cam on my indie feature , so there will be plenty of that. I'll upload some test with the cast pretty soon though. stay tuned

Personally, I’ve found that heavier is better on the Thanos but*** It depends on the steadicam itself, so as long as you get one with the right capacity it’ll be fine. The Thanos I’d say, is better with heavier setups! So you don’t need this payload! So as long as it falls within the payload range it should be fine but heavier seems smoother !

Idk, in Texas I didn’t have any import tariffs! Of course that was way before the election. I feel it though! To each is own, if price is no problem then the volt is pretty nice . Assuming the weight capacity is good for you, I wanted something for bigger rigs personally!

I think DJI puts out different info but you could always just use a 65w power bank as well! I haven’t had any problems other than the cable going bad before!

I like it, the biggest thing for me was the payload capacity! I think a steadicam with electronics would be simpler but if it’s not within budget I think something like this would work fine as well!

@11.Pierre what about when you shoot with manual focus? Do you always bring a Focus Puller? As I imagine you can't focus and operate a Steadicam at the same time. I have the Thanos Pro II which has been a good help to practice. I might upgrade to Thanos Pro Cine next year or a digital cinema camera suit for my Steadicam.

I feel it, a clear lack of empathy. Idk man, they def. have to fix their customer service. It seems like common sense but I guess it's not. We're spending money at the end of the day/trying to - companies should be nice and willing to assist. The 35mm is a good lens btw!

I agree, they have to make some tweaks. If I had the original, I wouldn't have felt a way but with the delays they could def. make it better for the customers caught in limbo! I also didn't realize so many were interested in the amber/blue flares but it makes sense. Less option, faster processing (assuming of course)

So I have a titla cage and they have the markers on it. The marker sits just ahead of the ‘menu’ button on the Komodo based on where it’s marked on the camera cage! I’d say about half or 1cm pass the menu button.

@ I’ve only have been using mine without adjusting that setting and to my surprise it’s been working fine. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah it seems to work well close to the sensor or away! So that’s all that matters, sometimes I make micro adjustments on the dji grip screen but it gets the job done overall!

Yessir, we will both continue to create. It just sucks when a lack of empathy is clear from a business you are spending $$ with. The lenses are nice and I hope they get better in the future. They are doing good things in the space but def can have better customer service!

Damn, you’d think they would have accepted yours. How did you order the wrong size PL? I didn’t know they had more than 1 size tbh. Did you end up getting it resolved or did you have to get a different mount all together? And yeah, I mean it’s a few ways to look at it. Maybe the bigger issue is the return policy itself - honestly updating that would FIX* probably everything for most people! I’m not too worried about making up the cost but for me it’s just principle. Mainly customer service in general but yeah I think fixing the return policy would clear it up. That’s just a thing that larger retailers will have over small ones. I’ve purchased from plenty of small companies with better policies though so idk.

@@11.Pierre there is only one size PL, but the one that has made didn’t fit. The tolerance of the mount was off. I literally had to go into the office and have them swap it.

damn, I was going to buy a Cato lens but this makes me worry. Who makes a PL mount that does not fit? crazy

Tbh, I couldn't imagine how you feel. It's really the principle. I get it, it's Black Friday but definitely a slap in the face. Especially for true early adopters like yourself who also ----- had to wait! (waited even longer) You're not alone, it's bad business. I may be bias but I just don't feel like that's how you operate and build with customers. They need to fix it. I met several US reps at NAB2024, they seemed cool but sheesh idk smh.

@11.Pierre just when I was over my saltiness about the. Neutral flares getting released afterwards. And I ordered a 33 because they're discontinuing the colored flares 😮‍💨. Blazar wyd. Could have gotten all 4 for less than I paid for the first 3

Yeah man, talk about wrecking the market! I'm sure a lot would adjust their kits if we knew this was coming down the pipeline. I was use to amber/blue flares so I opt'd for the neutral as well. I just wanted to try something different, I didn't realize how many people were interested in that flavor!

Should re-release sometime next month! Sooner than later, it got delayed by a month though.

Me to, but they did say that delivery will start in late November. It was a pre-order special.

It sucks but I'm definitely looking forward to this final lens. I'm all for deals but it definitely makes you not want to shop again unless truly necessary.

@ facts man! I hoped to be able to review these lenses on my channel but I wasn’t big enough. I don’t mind supporting them with good products , but it just sucks that they’re not transparant about everything. Some people are also very bummed about the decisions about removing the coloured flares which I understand, especially if you already have other blue or amber coloured flare anamorphics….

Yeah I noticed a few got the chance to review so I guess that was just a numbers thing. I actually didn’t realize that many people cared much about the color flare options. I personally like the look of ‘anamorphics’ but not so much for the flaring. The neutral flares seem to get a lot of interest but def saw people upset about the colors going away. I guess it’ll make it easier to produce them more consistently with less options I’m assuming.

I'd say check the FB group for some examples. I know what you mean though, the more the better! I like what I've seen from them so far overall, especially coming from someone who has a vintage 2x setup and two 1.8x lenses.

Definitely do it! I understand if it was ordered months ago but if people got them within the last week or so - like come on.🤦🏾‍♂️ The lenses are nice but their should be some accommodation, specially depending on the timeline.
