How to Set Up a K&M 101 Music Stand
Ouch. The last second made me pee.
Hey could you do a video for the advanced trombone as well? I have an advanced/intermediate trombone and im slighty unsure of what to do since they are different models. I also dont have the cleaning rod will my trombone be fine afterwards? If it airdrys
This helped alot thankyou!
This is terrible advice. Never stick a pad saver in a clarinet - it can scratch the bore and leave debris in the tone holes. Never use commerical bore oil. Sweet almond oil is much better (and cheaper).
My swab is constantly get tangled in my bassoon and I can’t get it to go all the way through
WAIT I ALWAYS PUT THE REED FIRST-
Hi there, I found this Yamaha YHR321 on someone's rubbish today (Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne), and it seems a bit worse for wear. Do you think the dent near the mouth-piece end is "the end" for this instrument, or could it perhaps be serviced and fixed? The valves also seem a bit "sticky" but could maybe be oiled and tweaked up? Maybe I should just "hang it on my wall", rather than spend any money on getting it fixed... or I could sell it for parts, maybe! Any thoughts or advice on it would be appreciated. :D ruclips.net/video/RAHwgC56GyI/видео.html
Hello, we'd recommend bringing it into Windcraft Repair in Hawthorn to have a look at. They will let you know what kind of work might be required and if it's worth fixing :) windcraftrepair.com.au/contact/
@@finemusiconline5583 Thanks!
Do we have to put the towel at the bottom? If yes, then wh?
The towel just adds some protection for the delicate parts of your instrument. Hope that helps!
This really helped me with my French horn.❤❤
And I breaking my head around and your process is way too simple to understand 👌🏻
Greg, thank you very much for your time and energy to put this stuff and video together! I wish you all the best! Greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷, sam
Thank you for this video
Serious question, where is the Euphonium Cleaning Guide! I love your guides as they're fast and to the point, but there's no Euphonium cleaning guide!
do you have any tips if it’s hard to play on the clarinet??
Thanks for this ❤
If anyone in this comment section is putting on the reed first… I will find you.
Thanks so much I’m new to brass and I now play euphonium for school and I needed this and it helped and I use the same brand of valve oil
You could just not chip your Reed….
the fact that she had to sacrifice a reed just for the purpose of this video
Respect
What…. Have i done it wrong bc i have never ever done that 😵💫 and i’m a 4 grader and i have now played in 1,5 or 2 years
I put the reed in first because I don’t rush the mouth piece because I’m not wasting two dollars but can you do a video of how tight the literature should be?
underated channel
I don't have a twister
She really sacrificed a reed for this video... R.I.P Reed... 💔
The reed had reached the end of its lifetime - we promise!
@@finemusiconline5583 Hmmmmm
Note: if you have the rubber, place the ligature with the tighteners backward on your right.
I just spent 30 minutes going through presets trying to find a good click sound. Thank you for preserving my sanity for the day!!
I'm in music school this makes it way more easier thank you👁👄👁👍
Thank you
Also u got to be very careful when puting the reed in becuase the reed is very fragil Hopes this helps😊❤
yup indeed, the top is as thin as paper!
First time i played bass clarinet, I saw a different video, but the same idea, and tried shoving it in, broke the reed with my finger and had to play on it as I didn't have a spare, it took 3 days for the new reeds to arrive
@@Gregory.Lukashin oh no 😭
Yes that's absolutely true😃
I just noticed ...i was doing it the wrong way 💀no wonder why my reed kept moving😭
glad to help!
Hey there, friend!! I’m just wondering how warm the water should be for cleaning my French horn. I’m a new band member and just don’t want to mess up!! 😅
Lukewarm
If its cool enough for you to dip your hand into without burning yourself or it being steaming hot
You forgot to add the put the reed in mouth for 10-15 seconds
Is that why my tone quality sucks? I have it in for like 2-3 minutes
@@jaxonnichols9980yeahh having your reed too wet can mess with the quality of your sound
@@jaxonnichols9980why first of all why
I have string on my bassoons cork. So what do I put on it because it is hard to take off and put on
Just what I needed. I’ll be looking for some more from you. Thanks so much!
Glad this helped!
Thank you, I am switching to bassoon next year

@@midnightcat1202 How did ya do it mines stuck
Which brand is the snake you used in the video? One of mine broke in the pipe so I want to know what the pros use.
thank you that helped a tone
So cool, thank you !!!
What do I use to clean off the grease of the slides? Do I use a polishing cloth or what?
Hi Ben, You can use paper towel or a cloth. Avoid using tissues as this may break up.
Are you concerned with oil getting on the pads?
Best not to get excessive oil on the applicator. Routine oil on the pads is not a good thing.
The fibers on the applicator are not long enough to reach the pads so, as long as you don't put too much oil on it, the pads will stay dry.
This was helpful as I'm a beginner bassoonist 👍
What was the first video?
Hello Keira, the first video 'Energise the Lungs' can be found here: ruclips.net/video/AA95oE0w0ug/видео.html
I still don't quite understand. When I inhale and relax the body using ah-ooh, the airstream is dead centre of my lips. But my usual mouthpiece placement is slightly off to the right. Should I be trying to place the mouthpiece directly over the airstream, thus in effect making an embouchure change, however slight? I have to say, the sound seems more resonant when I place directly over the airstream and play long tones, but the placement doesn't feel natural to me. Should I persevere and try to make a change?
Hello Craig, sorry for our slow response. We'd recommend getting in touch with Greg via his website here: mysterytomastery.com
@@a10crewchief2 Appreciated, thanks again.
bro why would you do that to ur trumpet
It may not look like it, but it was beyond repair. We promise!
thank you for teaching how to clean my bone, it really helped with the lubrication process so i can finally slide in faster than ever
Before this video when I would slide in and out there was a scratching of sorts on my end. After I soaked it and lubed it up I can push it in and pull it out with no problem!
Yes I bought my trumpet literally yesterday I’ll be back in five years when I upgrade 😂
Beautiful!
Would the pressure potentially damage the horn? I always assumed that continuous pressure like this could break something
Hi Eric, we're not too sure what you're referring to. Could you please elaborate? Thanks! :)
Great video thanks
