No, this was a field that was in beans last year, we just bought the farm and I'm putting it into beans to later put it into hay

Worked for a guy who had a 300 combine, 200 acres of corn with a 2 row head so lots of driving time. Nice machine!

Man this is cool!!!! I love doing hay but I’m wanting to get into crops aswell. Just don’t have enough land for hay, cows, and crops. Maybe if I come up on some lease land one day. Hard to find though. That crank auger is neat!! Much further ahead than Deeres manual fold out auger 😂 looking forward to seeing the future of this thing
Me too! Can't wait to get it in the field I love the auger too haha!
I drove one for 20 years. Also have a 33 corn head always turn your auger out when doing beans when the tank is empty. and leave the engine at idle when you start to unload the tank then throttle to half never full.

Forgive me if I missed it, where abouts are you located? While I found my way to Masseys, I’ve always had a soft spot for the classic IH tractors, so I appreciate seeing yours well kept and in action. Keep it up!
I'm out on the eastern shore of md! I love my old IHs, they've served me so well, Thanks for the comment! I hope to be painting my 706 soon, But as usual the operation come first and good paint doesn't bale hay! Haha But maybe this fall 🤔 Your channel looks great too, glad to see more first gen hay producer's!
@@stuckinthepast300 wow, that’s great!! Getting caught up on your videos now, I’m amazed how different our climates are despite being *relatively* close, in the scheme of the US. Never have I ever been able to bale after sunset, the dew is on us by 7pm at the absolute latest at the height of summer, usually much sooner. Impressed with how much you can tackle at once, and your ingenuity at keeping things running despite breakdowns. Nice work! And thanks!! Right back atcha 😊
Haha, I was trying to coin a term on my first videos "any means sketchisary" and boy has it ran true through the operations. This year's first cut was quite the test, I should have gone more in detail and shown more of the issues, but either way it was quite the time! Haha It was actually sort of lucky to get that far into the night baling, typically we do have dew in a similar time frame as you guys, The easternshore can be finicky at time, I happend to get really lucky that night though!
