From a personal point of view I would not be playing the ball around anywhere in my own box especially in front of the keeper
sorry but pep makes his players do that
@@jacobsonam973 NOT EVERYONE HAS THAT QUALITY OF PLAYER IN THE BACK FOUR AS YOU SEE MOST WEEKS !!! DONT COPY ANY OTHER COACH ( NOT EVEN PEP) IF YOU DONT BELIEVE IN IT...
@@Curseofsuperbowl49 also your name sounds like an indian so please stick yo your kabbadi hahaha
It’s a training session
Try not to think too logically- analytics run this game now.
The session design and pitch area for the topic was good but I would be conscious of the details that you're giving the players. When in possession of the ball you've coached them to tuck in and be compact which is counter-intuitive when you are playing out from the back because by making the area compact you are making it easier for the defending team. I understand why you've asked them to tuck in in order to protect against a counter, but you're making it awfully difficult to advance. Consider the full backs position as they are sitting very deep and this doesn't help when playing out from the back. At 11:32, you've just given some great information about having an open body shape to receive so that your CB can have a positive first touch and look to go forward. After giving this advice your CB receives the ball with the outside of his front foot and goes backwards! Don't be afraid to stop the play again and reinforce your point - obviously the information didn't quite sink in the first time. At this point it's probably worth having a word with your GK about his first ball out as this killed the practice a few times. Try to ensure that the practice is realistic; The CB's start position, and where he received the ball, was inside his own box. This would obviously never happen in a game. At 12:30(ish) you've given the attacking team 10 seconds to try to score which I didn't understand in the context of the topic. Playing out is whilst the opponent is 'in balance' and therefore you may have to be patient and create openings. If they're not advancing and there are opportunities to, get in there and coach them. Good coaching manner and confident delivery. The timing of your interventions was good, well thought out in terms of who you wanted to affect and when and you've used a bit of Q+A as well as some command which helped the session to move quickly. Maybe go even further and look to use some GD or cognitive dissonance. Well done and good luck for the rest of your course.
@Rex Alonzo yup, have been using Kaldrostream for years myself :)
@Rex Alonzo yup, I've been watching on kaldrostream for months myself :D
I also agree, if you're going to play something like this your full back must have license to push high and wide to spread the pitch. Also one of the midfielders can drop deeper to offer a triangle & man advantage for the center backs.
The Cb’s would receive the ball in their own box all the time in the professional game
@@SKATE7510This video was posted in 2018 where the laws of the game prevented players starting, or receiving, in their own box from a goal kick.
