Actually Iceland is not as cool as many people imagine, but yes in beginning of the winter we experience more of the sugary snow and now in February-May we usually have better snow conditions.

Unbelievably big difference between 40” and then 44”. The 40” is 13.5 “ in width and 44” is 15.5” in width and that means you float better on the snow

@@icerubicon552 ya I figured you’d probably need wider. Could you widen the barrel on the steel wheels? They are thinner than the aluminum although heavier, but might give you a bit of clearance on the knuckle area where you need it?

In and around Reykjavik we have the Jeep dealership Isband and I would recommend it, if you are in the east of Iceland there we have super good mechanics and the garage is called Unicars.

Those are air tubes that make it possible to deflate and inflate the tire while driving. I have explained it in another video here

Both my JK and 4xe have stock axles. While almost just driving in snow it’s holding. Jk has 4.10 stock gears and 4xe 5.38 gears. So far haven’t broke anything 🤓

My Jeep has standard 4.10 and is on 40” tires I’m not sure about the Ford would gess 5 something it is on 46” tires and is heavy for all it’s money 😉

I see you use two different air compressors in the two different jeeps, you could let us know which one you like better and so on. I like the idea of the angled fitting on the JK.
