I'm glad I'm fairly good at sculpting. I feel like in the time it takes you to clean and sand and assemble all these pieces I could just sculpt one of these from polymer clay.

It was a lot of fun to see the preparation and painting process. Also, I love the decorations you put around FuwaMoco before the plain showcase at the end! Especially the keyboard and mini arcade machine, their colors matched FuwaMoco's quite nicely👍

As a semi-professional Warhammer painter for 12 years, with experience working on plastic and resin kits, what would the difficulties be in building and painting a garage kit like this one? I already own various tools from clippers, drills, brushes, airbrushes, and magnets, but this seems a bit more complicated. How much of one of these kits could be done by regular brush as opposed to airbrush? Amazing video, subscribed already! Always looking for advice for different hobbies
wonderful! Warhammer painter for 12 years!? I respect you! Q1 The difficulty when assembling and painting a garage kit is that there are no samples. Garage kits are not official products in the figure industry, so there are no samples or color references. For example, Super Mario is red. However, I am having a hard time deciding what kind of red to use. This is because SFC Mario, Nintendo Switch Mario, and smartphone Mario are all different colors. Q2 I think garage kits are easier compared to Warhammer. As for tools, you don't need any expensive tools. you can buy all tools and paints in Amazon or Amazon.com :D We look forward to your reply! :D

Thank you very much for your kind comments. Yes, the garage kit hobby is quite expensive, haha. I started out as a small goalkeeper. It's about 50 USD each. Painting is a wonderful hobby, so please give it a try! BAUBAU~💙💗

@ I agree, but lately foreigners (westerners) are desperately trying influence and change Japan's media/entertainment... Coercing companies to adopt censorship and trying to insert their deranged culture; slowly poluting and ruining everything that everyone loves about it... they deserve to be told the harsh truth! What type of paints did you use? Enamels? Acrylics?
Enamels for only eyes. Acrylics for almost parts :D you paint something?? pls tell me more :D
@@HHobbyH I do paint 3d printed models, i guess you can call them garage kits. PinkStudio makes some amazing models. I've also been using acrylics, but i have had no luck getting skin colors to look as smooth as yours, i love it. I'm very close to switching to enamels but i know they are quite toxic.
@@frodolph2300 Thank you for teaching me many things. In Japan, lacquer paint is said to be more toxic than enamel. Do you want to know how to paint skin? Shall I teach it in next month's video? In fact, I will be posting a new video this weekend. and explained in detail the basic method of painting, which was the most requested. Check this out too if you like.

I originally followed for GK content, so I was surprised to see this video, but I enjoyed it very much! It was very interesting to hear your perspective on various locations and trends as a local, and it felt very personal in a way that other travel oriented videos are unable to achieve whilst still being extremely informative to both hobbyists and general tourists. This may be my favorite video on Akiba! I would look forward to your video and unique perspective on Denden town if you plan to create it, as I feel it's a lot less documented than Akihabara in the west.
