We are happy you enjoy the Ward story. It’s a small thing but we work very hard to keep all the lore fitting together into one world.

We understand the concerns on price. However, to get started playing all you need is a starter pack. 2 starter packs if you want 2 full randomized ready to play decks. We have seen many grab 1 starter, and play test with just a few less cards. 30 cards are required for an official Ward deck. The decision is yours. We would be happy to have you join in the fun. P.S. The flow of the game resembles yugioh the most closely of any of the larger tcgs. However, the unique battling system and cemetery health points mechanic creates a completely new feel only seen in Ward.

@@tomcasey3830 this is true. But the card designs and characters and magic / creature cards are very similar. Too similar. Just saying I hope Konami doesn’t notice

Thanks for your input. The game design is finished and won’t be changed. Over a dozen Midwest tournaments have been held with very few issues or rules questions. Ward is very easy to learn and understand once your hands are on it.

Additional creatures can be played to the field along side your primary creature. These are called limited summons. They lose their creature effects while on the field as a limited summon. The only way to bring a limited summon to the field is via a magic card or creature effect that specifically says so.

Our generation 2 cards that are available for pre-order now and will be releasing mid July will included holographics. At that time the current generation 1 cards will stop production and a genration 1 2nd edition will be released which will included holographics. This will be released in Dec 2024.

We do enjoy people who like the Lore. A TCG doesn’t need it, but we work really hard to put together a full universe behind these cards.

Very happy to hear you are working on your own game. The only AI used in Ward is in the original legacy set which was our test set (No longer in print). We used it for a few thumbnails for some videos. However, our 1st edition set was done by our contracted illustrator Mark Evans. Our Expansion set is being worked on by Fabricio Vainer. Both were given an incredibly difficult task to finish 150 individual pieces within a short time frame. We cannot thank them enough for their hard work.

@Wardtradingcardgame Thank you! As you started with Ai I am as well. I'm hoping that moving forward I can acquire an artist to work with me and I'm sure I will for now I'm in playtest mode! I'm looking forward to getting a couple starter decks of ward and posting a video of the gameplay if that's OK with yall.
