You must have some money to throw around. Like, investing 150+ euros is a lot for a beginner. I got to 15s on my soft pad before getting my first metal pad, which was admittedly worse than my soft pads. (DDRGame...)

What about someone who WANTS to be super pro and can do 14s (DDR A rating)? I've been looking and making a Stepmania rig. So far Impulse and StepmaniaX are the best.. but the price tag on StepmaniaX is killer, and Impulse is a neverending hype train. This one seems like a good price for something decent.

problem on this matt/pad is it works by bending the plastic inwards to create a contact i dont think on hard or speed stuff you want to move your foot that much instead hit the button only on the edge probably. here a picture explains more than my bad english i guess: i.imgur.com/DLxu3jF.jpg i still think if you live in germany where is NO arcade at all in a range of 1000km and you cant even try one it is still a good beginner choice 1. cheap 2. you can still play a good amount of time till you reach the limit of this thing to be sure you need a better pad or you dont like playing Stepmania that much and dont buy a expensive one.

@@DragonstoneWolfe Just wanted to say, don't wait for Impulse. You gotta make the most of your life! Anyways, the pad, with a super easy sensitivity mod, will allow you to play DDR 17-18s or ITG 12-14 reportedly. I'm getting mine in 2 weeks or so. With this mod your panels won't need to flex as much, as stated above.

there is no real secret just play a lot :) try to improve stuff you think is a weak point for you + have fun search rivals and friends ingame
ReTLoM I'm stuck at 20-30 range for months now. Also I read somewhere that o2jupiter is better training place than o2v3 for this level range?
Jupiter got VERY VERY many songs i think 3 or 4 servers in total beginner / advanced / pros / Private ET one
