Powerheads off for a clearer video. Added a few new fairy wrasses. Lost the little Goldflake angel, it wouldn't eat. :( I'll be adding several more anemones next week!

They do this just before one, or both, of the pairs is about to lay eggs. Forgive the cloudy water, just scraped the acrylic, and did a water change just before taking the video.

Magnifica 360 update.
Просмотров 1874 месяца назад
IVe added a 4th Red Sea Reefled 160S and built a floating canopy to house them. Excuse the cords. They will be run through the back wall this week for a nice clean look. Mags aren't quite as extended as normal today, but I attribute that to being fed late last night. I've added a beautiful blue LTA that, unfortunately, has decided to move between some rocks where it can barely be seen. Its. bri...

Still have a lot of frags to glue down, but the aquascaping is coming along. All 18 Magnifica and all other nems have made the tank transition well!

Introducing the 360 gallon anemone dominant reef! The tank is 96" long by 36" wide by 24" tall. With 75 gallon sump, 80 gallon refugium, and 45 gallon mangrove lagoon tanks plumbed in, over 500 gallons water volume! my biggest system ever. I just moved all the Mags and LTA's throughout the day today. More fish and a few remaining corals will be added over the next few days.
Last video of the Magnifica Reef! Transfer happening soon! Keep watch!

Are you running metal halide? How tall is your tank?
Not currently. I'm running 4 Red Sea Reefled 160s at full spectrum and full intensity, plus, 3 Kessil AP9X's at full spectrum and full intensity. Tank is 36" depth and 24" tall.
Are you running metal halide? What depth is your tank?
Beautiful
Bro its dying
so pretty! where from?
Congrats on getting them through treatment! They look great!
Oh wow! Thanks for sharing ❤
Wow! Amazing coral reef!! Very beautiful scape!👍
Thank you!
Beautiful 🤩

❤🔥👌🙌👏🔥❤
Love it. Not many do full anemone tanks and if they do they don't look this good.
Thank you very much! Nems are my passion. Still hoping to add some healthy gigantea anemones to make it complete!
That's cool, I too someday
Awesome. I wish my bubble tips actually bubbled like that. Mine just get huge
Thanks! I know a lot of people don't like the rainbow BTAs and consider them a 'weed', but I really enjoy them! I love their color (especially under blue LED), shape, and movement. I harvest about 4 to 5 of them a month and trade them in at my LFS. I hope the Colorado sunburst continues to split! I'd love for it to take over the right side of the tank.
Very Nice System. What are you dosing to keep the Nems healthy and happy?
Thank you i will get that today and try it out. I heard its a very good product.
What are you dosing your tank with to keep the Anemones living and healthy ?
@victorharris7411 Currently, I am dosing All For Reef during the day and Kalkwasser at night.
Wow what a beautiful tank👍👏🏽
@@rafman8889 Thank you!
Are you using redsea light?
@spoildbratz5467 Hello. Yes, I'm using 3 Red Sea Reefled 160S over the tank. I'm considering adding another one.
beautiful!
@@cody-zo6 Thank you!
What's the dimensions of this tank?
Stunning view ❤
Beautiful reef tank!
Thank you very much!
What is your light?
@@spoildbratz5467 Red Sea Reefled 160S
What kind of light & salt you use?
@@makwidmunawarahmad8405 Thank you! Currently running 3 Red Sea Reefled 160S LED's. I use Fritz blue box salt.
Thank you
Amazing
Where are you finding a lot of your mags? I’m in SoCal so a lot suppliers here have bleached stragglers that look like they will color up incredible. Just waiting till I see another. I see nice mags at pacific east aquaculture, just need to cipro/amox treat it and you have a cool color.
And where did you get the one at 11:36?
That's a red with yellow tip LTA that I got from Coralsanonymous.com
Beautiful reef tank. When can we see the other tank?
absolutely love those magnificas. keep up the great work!
Thank you!
Amazing
Do you run any chemical filtration for your anemone tanks?
Heavy protein skimming, carbon reactor, biopellets reactor, refugium.
@@Sonofgaladriel1 thank you
Stunning!
I had no clue they could live in Anemones too. I know clownfish are damsels but thought only they could.
Absolutely beautiful Did you ever find out what that nem was?
Pretty sure it's a Bunodosoma granuliferum, aka rainbow bottom warty anemone.
@@Sonofgaladriel1 Nice, that is what I was thinking too! Love seeing all your nems. I have always wanted a magnifica but just cant find any locally and cant justify spending $300+ online for one. One day though. Anyway, thanks for all the inspiration
Lovely!! How many tanks do you have??
Thank you! I have 3 small tanks currently. 80 gallon 'Magnifica Reef', 45 gallon 'Red Reef', and a 30 gallon currently housing SPS frags but soon to be another anemone Reef.
Wow what a incredible tank! Truly a stunner. Hope to see updates!
Thank you! There have been several metal videos uploaded since this one. The Mag Reef is ever changing!
👌🔥💯✌️
I think it is a "rainbow bottom anemone"
That is a possibility. Definitely not an LTA.
Definitely not a long tentacle
Maybe tube nem
What led light is that on your tank?
Quanta Meso Blue LED bars.
Thank you.@@Sonofgaladriel1
absolutely beautiful
Thank you very much!
Looks great. It's a little slice of the ocean. Hope you keep it going.
Thank you very much! I have done my best to emulate a real Magnifica reef even though it's such a small tank. A bigger and better one is on the way!
Wow, what a beautiful tank. That is the best nem tank I have ever seen. Have you had any bacterial issues and certain nems dying? I have always wanted to keep magnificas but cant find a good source to get them from
Thank you very much! A bigger and better anemone reef is on the way!
they don’t ship very well because exporters don’t treat them for vibrio before sending. there are threads on reef 2 reef explaining the treatment process! i don’t have mags yet but im told pacific east aquaculture is the best source albeit pricey. and lax aquarium has 3-4 big healthy ones in stock rn
Ok. I there they are skunk clowns..Great beautiful
Why no clownfish
There is a small harem of Pink skunk clowns in there! A breeding pair and a subordinate male. Living happily!
I love your Anemones! ❤❤❤ please how can You help me with the hobby?
Thank you! I suggest reading as much as you can on the particular species you want to keep from as many sources as possible.
Beautiful, what mode do you have the gyres set on? Do you have any idea what your anemones get in PAR-values? What are your nitrates and phosphates? Thank you.
I use the 4 Square flow pattern. 25% to 90%. Based on a PAR graph provided by BRS on the Kessil A360WE's, at 100% intensity and color, the nems are getting over 300 PAR. Add to that whatever PAR the T5 Blue Plus and the Quanta Meso LED bars are putting out. It's probably close to 400 PAR total. Nitrates are at 35. Phosphate .25.
@@Sonofgaladriel1 Thank you so much for the answer! What you have is what i want to achieve basically. My water params have been good and stable but my nitrates and phosphates have always been undetectable with drip tests. I think that might have been a problem for my mag that has been slowly getting worse over the past 5 months. Possibly my lights have been a bit low as well.
Beautiful, what flow pattern do you have the gyres set to?
