Welcome to my RUclips Channel!

I am an educational linguist. I am interested in the intersection of language and education including language in refugee education, hidden curriculum and language textbooks, language teacher identity, language in education policy and planning, and, English as a/the medium of instruction. I draw upon qualitative and mixed methods tilted towards qualitative research approaches in my endeavors.

I was the Syed Babar Ali Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University in 2022. I completed my Ph.D. in Language and Literacy Education with concentration on TESOL at the University of Georgia, USA. I am currently a full Professor in English at BUITEMS, Pakistan. I have also been affiliated with the Mittal South Asia Institute at Harvard University as an Honorary Research Fellow since 2023.
