I talked to a woman on a dating site recently, and I told her I wasn’t getting married or cohabitating ever again. Once she realized I wasn’t going to pay her bills and help her out she was gone.

I’m a very creative person now that I’m in my retirement phase of life. I find that women demand too much of my time, money and attention that I can’t really focus on my creative aspects. I’d rather be single than have to babysit an adult woman to make her happy.

I know lots of people who have adult children. Living with those adult children in their old age is not an option. The nursing homes are filled with folks who have extended families. Point here is Im not sure having a family is a guarantee that you will have someone to take care of you in your old age.

I'v met married people who still feel lonely, and on top of it they are dealing with constant conflict with their partners.

Kids are work, but it is nice having sons and a daughter that I could ask for help and they would be there, they are kind of expensive, but they you don't have to give that child everything they ask for monetarily, paying for kids sports, hobbies ECT. Is mostly unnecessary, that's something that folks nowadays don't realize, make that kid work for extras, if they have a little skin in the game it will build character. Many of the young crowd are weak because of this very thing. Just my opinion.

There is a reason women live 5-7 years longer than men and it sure isnt genetics. Any married man that had to endure the constant emotional dramas a woman brings into his life would probably welcome checking out early. One laughable trope we all hear is; "Arent you afraid of dying alone?" Hell no! It is a 50/50 bargain even if you are with a woman. But I would rather live a full life, doing whatever I want, when I want with total freedom than to be in a toxic environment where death might be viewed as a pleasant option.

I don't really care how anyone lives their lives and if having a pet brings meaning and happiness to your life and you choose to not have children, that is completely your choice. And by the way I love pets, too. The problem with "pet parents" like this guy and my sister is that none of you really know what it's like to have children, but you talk as if you know because you've got a pet that you love. As a father, I have been on both sides of the wall, as it were starting out as non-parent and then becoming a parent. At the point of becoming a father, everything I had previously known was multiplied a million fold- that would include my hopes and fears and joys and sorrows. People who've only been on one side of the wall have no idea what the other side of the wall is like.
