B.rad Podcast: Disciplined Open-Mindedness, Blue Zone Secrets & Focusing on the Big Picture
Просмотров 37День назад
A listener asked me about what I think about the resets…..fasting, keto, carbs, hormetic stressors, and vegan propaganda.. My knee-jerk reply was that we all need to step back and focus on the big picture. It's also important to never get frustrated, and to work hard to stay open minded and think critically instead of succumbing to the marketing hype and the controversy and confusion in the hea...

Omgosh, see ing you today…I love your content, please see Dr Omara!
Or Sardinia, how he talks about how much pasta they eat, and not highlight how much goat, sheep and seafood they eat.
ruclips.net/video/c9-NvThMcFs/видео.htmlsi=MSbebPGiT4bfruBL Dr S Baker is not carnivore 100% of the time. This was 6 months ago & I can put money on it that he’s not been full carni for longer than b4 this video 6 months ago! They are economical with the truth to gain click bait & money like most influencers sadly!!!
Source: Trust me Bro
Good point.
Eat meat. That should be your protein powder. Animal protein is superior to whey.
Whey is animal protein, but yes eating meat is fantastic!
@@brad.kearns Technically, it is a bi-product of an animal. So yes, generally it’s an animal base protein. But I was talking about the actual animal. The animals meat, not their milk. But yes, you are correct.
These are the sane people that pushed margarine on us. Nobody marched when butter was getting a bad name.
Great idea!
Just stand by a bonfire every night. That's literally what red light is and why staring into a fire feels so good.

I must confess: Your morning routine helps a lot...🙂
The basis of civilization is grain. Grains for energy and meat and vegetables, along with milk for nutrition. The entire hunter gatherer model is reminiscent of the "noble savage" return to nature philosophy of Jean-Jacques Rousseau. HG is a miserable existence. We only have to go back a little over a century for an ancestry existence.
That is such a great idea, along with basic finances.
Why doesn’t the guest have a chair? It’s a lengthy interview!
haha I didn't have a chair either, I just am shorter than Jay!!! That's Power Project studios no chairs man!!
Inspiring! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Word. Thanks!
You bet!
Mandatory parenting classes starting in grade school would greatly improve our culture.
Great Pod Brad from someone who was a world class triathlete!! However if I worked for 10 seconds at a 1:6 recovery but research suggests 4 mins recovery for atp levels between efforts how does this work please ?

This dr is the BEST!!!!!!!
What about the metals?
Does metal have cacao? 🤔 Unless you're planning to bite down on a rusty spoon, I think we're safe sticking with chocolate for our tasty benefits!😅 But hey, if you find a metal that can compete with cacao's deliciousness, I’m all ears!
😮
Things which makes carbs into bodyfat: 1) polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats, 2) flax seed, 3) undereating, 4) high fat diet in long term, 5) soy, 6) very high protein diet, 7) low carb diet, 8) stress. I want to add that when carbs get converted to fat, people get also a light form of dementia. Proteins get converted into carbs and then into fat under above mentioned circumstances Sources for every point above: point 1) channel Fire in a bottle @fireinabottle3410, dr. Ray Peat, point 2) channel Strongsistas with Wendy Sellens, point 3) Minessota starvation experiment, point 4) Georgi Dinkov, point 4) point 5) as point 2 and dr. Ray Peat, point 6) channel Strongsistas, Georgi dinkov, Minessota starvation experiment, 7) as point 3, 4, point 8) Georgi Dinkov, Ray Peat.
About praise : isn’t it a matter of balance, not too much and not too little. An awful lot of people walk around miserable because they never were praised for the things they did. Praising also carries a message that the child is seen and recognized. Just saying.
Hobbs Kessler is an interesting runner. He was fast coming out of high school, went pro instead of running in college, plateaued a couple years, but improved enough in the last year of to bronze in the World Indoor Championships, win the mile in the World Road Running Championships, and finished fifth in the 1500m in Paris with a time of 3:29.45. He also competed in the 800m in Paris. He is still only 21 years old. What is interesting about his recent rise is that he said he decreased his long runs to about 7-8 miles and does not do any single run session long than 50 minutes. I think his approach is worth looking into and mentioning. Thanks.
yeah that was some amazing insights about Hobbs training. There are many ways to get to the top, but the people on top have figured out what works best for them!
I saw an Australian young man on youtube who had type 1 diabetes who practically cured himself of it with a carbohydrate diet. He often doesn't have an insulin injection and when he does its a very low dose.
It’s ok but you ain’t gonna be great, if you’re not as great as them don’t assume u know what’s in their head white boy
Nicely done. After years jumping and coaching I couldn’t do better.
Excellent!! Thank you so much for such crucial information. Unfortunately, Dr Andrew Weil sold his True Kitchen restaurant chain, and now they are cooking with vegetable/ seed oils. I also wrote to Whole Foods headquarters and received a dismissive answer. We have to keep on spreading the word.
Word.
Thanks always!
Gold. I have long been a runner, but I have also thought that walking is THE way to move for a long time. Thanks.
Every carnivore I know have added sugar back into their diet. I can’t do the 400 G of sugar thing but I definitely feel better with fruit , juice, and honey
The poor and the stupid are the target for big food. The rich don’t eat at McDonald’s!
Nobody likes health food and tahini and salmon are health food. We are willing to die for junk food and we are (dying).
You know, it’s the message I’ve been hearing at least since the 1970s: health food. But people like junk food. I did for a long time until I ballooned to 243. Just quit drinking sugar.
But she’s not keto. Her diet sounds like a version of Mediterranean which everyone feels comfortable with. The problem with pulses is that they’re carbs. Your daily need for carbs is zero. Nonetheless her heart is the right place. Her diet is way better than McDonald’s!
She’s brilliant! May her message reach every patient because what I see now is that we’re all addicted to ultra processed foods unless we work very hard not to be.
I came here after doing a search for do 12 Seconds Sprints do anything because I just started running and did 9mph my last mile of 5 miles for 10-12 seconds. I've never done it. The heart rate feeling after was like a Drug. I can't explain it, I know I just want to do it again.
61? bloody hell. compliments
Wow! What a powerhouse! And great story!
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Burn and crash prevention by ditching coffee. 😭 I am down to 1 cup in the morning. Brad, could you expand on coffee? Or did you already? It’s a very unpopular/ unpleasant subject, however the stress coffee gives is of a high impact and messes with hormone balance. Love your work, thanks!
Seems very believable. People now are lazy and weak. Theres a big difference between the strength of average men between now and 25 years ago. Cant even find the type of guy to work with me in construction that used to be common.
Nice swing.
How many 6 second sprints and how much rest between sets ?
New female world record set just a couple days ago!
Sorry to offend you. I’m trying to make the point that exercise can happen anywhere, with no equipment, necessary,. I did not consider the example of an abusive partner, making it difficult to exercise in your home environment.
