Hi Denise that packet of carrot seeds were packed at the end of 2022 and sow by 7-2025 , all old seeds are worth a go just put them in an a small pot and see what happens 🤞general rule of thumb is the bigger the seed the longer it lasts ,them beggets go well with butter and generous helping of jam😁 take care

I swear levelling takes longer than anything else 🤦‍♀️ but it’s really starting to look fab Denise. You could break it up and save a bit by putting some different shaped stepping flag stones perhaps. I have to get some leaves sorted and compost sifted but it’s bloody cold out there 😂. I did manure a few beds yesterday though. Brilliant! As others have said, the white spots are lenticels. All spuds have them, but they are more visible on red ones. They swell and contract according to moisture conditions, and will almost vanish in storage.

The white raised speckling are probably swollen Lenticils due to too much water ( probably all the rain we have had ) I have seen reveals with a lot less potatoes Denise, well done

Nice harvest from one seed potato, alot better than some that I have seen. Best wishes to you both, my wife goes for major surgery at the end of the month to hopefully to extend her quality of life from an unwanted guest that has spread. ❤❤❤❤❤

The white, raised spots on your potatoes are probably swollen lenticels due to wet soil conditions. Potato tubers are enlarged underground stems. Lenticels are small openings in the tuber surface that allow for gas exchange. Saturated soils may cause the lenticels to swell as gas exchange is impeded. hope this helps great video take care

There is a lot of therapeutic feelings getting things taken apart 😂. Looks lovely and sunny there Denise, it’s pouring rain here but that’s ok it’s the first time in ages. My chillies peppers and cucumbers were/are crap and tomatoes are slowly ripening. My labels all faded and I used an actual label maker. Hmm half cover sounds good 👍. Awesome job Denise. 😂I do that everyday good thing my phone has a calendar 📅. I think that’s a great idea Denise and very functional. But keep the cover just in case 👍, like I told Carl it’s easier to put it in than have to go buy one later. The flowers in the herbs look beautiful 😍. My potatoes have early blight 😢 first time ever. My chocolate mint died so I should try again. We are sisters across the pond 😅 I love taking stuff apart and making changes in my garden. I had a fountain like that they do get clogged underneath so someone said put a basket under them (pound shops waste basket I think)

We all asked for sunny days but with that the slugs leave and the weeds take over 😂😂. I’m watering constantly now because it’s been 32c here the last few days 🥵🥵, way too hot too fast. Oh no sorry about shallots mine are bolting 😢. I have Dwarf Braeburn 🍏. My peonies are huge and falling over I’ll have to use bigger tomato cages next year. Look like tomato seedlings (self sown). I keep finding kale in everything 😂😂. 😢😢😢 nature can be cruel but hopefully the others all are happily flying about. Great update Denise ❤, hope Jon is well today, Ali 🌞🇨🇦

How did Jon get on Denise? Yes it’s a hydrangea cut it right back it will come up again, I have a similar one with dark leaves 🍂. Lovely flowers 💐 and I hope mine look as good 👍.
