This has always been an issue with CG for years, everyone wants to be apart of the main squad. Was a big issue in 3.0 too when CG added a shit load of people to the gang. Hard to be in the main squad when you got members like Zolo and Zaceed, who always have to be with K when he's awake and relies on him for RP/content.
