This was a helpful video , Thanks !.... I'll be doing the same two ,on my 2000 Silverado got the bed off , parts are ordered , just cleaning the rust off and painting around the work area . I got new leaf springs and shocks . Going to be like a new truck ! I'm going to do a axel dump on the exhaust , so i don't care that there is no hanger on the rear crossmember. I'll just cut off the fuel tank one .

Nice to see how the work was done since there are no videos on how to replace these $1600 head lamp assemblies. Bird strike broke my plastic on the head light - still works fine- but the covering is busted. Only way to fix is replace the entire assembly instead of the $10 plastic that covers the LED's. Attempting to replace mine tomorrow so this was a good start on how to get exposed to the bolts to remove.

Some trailer axles are built with (CAMBER) like the one you have so it can compensate for the heavy loads so you shouldn’t be straightening it! More than likely you have a bad worm out frame bracket or something else but not bent it back straight! Now you’ll have more problems! Like excessive wear on the inside of your tires!

Has the MTO given you any grief with having a modified box? I wanted to do this to mine but I'm worried about being subject to yearly inspection without the stock box. Im in northwestern ontario

Use some heat to straighten up the bend. Then weld a piece of medal. We're it was bent.

I also have a Toyota Camroad. Mines a 1997. I'm looking to do my front and rear shocks also. Can you confirm the part number for the front and rear aftermarket model shocks that you used?

on my 77 square frame my crossmember rotted, that lead to frame flexing and the spring mount cracking.. so keeping an eye on any rusty crossmember or adding extras will keep your truck on the road longer for sure...

I've never seen somebody get so creative, work so hard, to fix something that isn't broken; Trailer axles are supplied new with a built in reverse bow or bend, the inverse of a rocking chair if you will, about 1cm. This gives the camber you need to have the tires sitting perpendicular to the road when fully loaded.

leave it on trailer use chain and jack much easier

Thanks for the video. I'm bringing in a 1997 Dyna/Camroad it'll also need a timing belt and water pump. Where did you source yours from? Our local JDM shop won't touch it because it's "a commercial truck"
