Slowly but surely, we’ve been piecing it back together with new insulation, drywall, and hardwood floors. I bought it from Costco this summer. I love it. Best decision ever. I did not have the option of putting it on a post else I would. Only thing is, it cannot be removed to store against our Canadian winter. I will have to wrap it thoroughly. And it was not $99, I wish, lol. It was $150 in Toronto, Ontario

    • @TheMidlothianHome
      @TheMidlothianHome 5 месяцев назад

      I know! We still love it and it’s going strong. The convenience of using it was worth every penny. It’s unfortunate that you won’t be able to store over the winter but it should be fine as long as you remove all the water from the hose. 😱150!? Was that the discount price? Either way I still think is cheaper than other brands plus you get Costco’s return policy. Enjoy your summer watering your plants! 🪴

    All the rangehood videos I watch, there is no way to repair or troubleshoot the hood. You’d have to tear out the whole enclosure.

    • @TheMidlothianHome
      @TheMidlothianHome 6 месяцев назад

      I also came to the same realization when I was trying to figure out how to design the range hood. I sacrifice accessibility over the finish look because I expect the range hood to work for at least 5 years and at that point I will have to take it apart. I think if you purchase a range hood insert that will give you the accessibility that you are looking for.

    Good job, I paint and finish cars and your issue is the coverage. You want to apply the first coat really light, you don't want to fully cover it... 1st layer should be light, after flashing second layer should be medium and finally the 3rd layer should be medium to hard. The best thing you can do is to cover everything quick and then come back and see where you need more paint, overall you did a good job.

    • @TheMidlothianHome
      @TheMidlothianHome 7 месяцев назад

      Yeah, you are right. As a beginner you think it needs to fully covered and that's where the overspray happens. The next time I paint, I'll for sure use your method. Thanks for the feedback and for watching the video! Cheers!

    How thick of a post is that? 4x4 or 6x6? Are those white fence post covers expensive? Does the Costco brand offer good warranty vs the amazon varieties? How much was it? I dont see on costco website.

    • @TheMidlothianHome
      @TheMidlothianHome 8 месяцев назад

      The post are 4x4. Yes, the cover was $25-$40. Well you get the standard Costco warranty on top of the manufacture warranty. I purchase the reel on sale for $99, original price in store was $139.

    how does it compare to hoselink?

    • @TheMidlothianHome
      @TheMidlothianHome 8 месяцев назад

      I find it challenging to provide a direct comparison as I have never owned a Hoselink retractable reel myself. Nonetheless, some significant distinctions include their patented adapters, the presence of an inline shutoff valve-a feature I find lacking in Sunneday reels-and the convenience of a quick release mechanism. It's worth noting that these features could potentially be supplemented with aftermarket products. So, in my opinion, it's uncertain whether the $250 price tag for an 82ft Hoselink reel represents a better investment compared to Sunneday's 98ft option at $99, given that their core functions are similar. I hope this comparison is useful to you.

      Hello! While fertilizer isn’t strictly necessary, I personally choose to fertilize my trees in the spring. Adding fertilizer before applying mulch allows it to reach the soil more quickly compared to adding it after the mulch has been put down.
