    Looks like it was a great trail run. As a fellow female runner, safety is my top priority before I head out on a run. I see male runners on RUclips running in the pitch black and all alone and I think, wow, they have no idea what a privilege it is. I ran a new route yesterday 5-7pm and I had to be on guard in new surroundings. There are areas I will return to and areas I will avoid from now on. I love running the hike and bike trail. It’s beautiful and populated with enough people that I feel safe on my own. Happy and safe running y’all. 🏃🏻‍♀️😀❤️

    Amazing job.. I've been on a running slump. I haven't even picked up my running shoes, I don't have the motivation. I should as my half marathon is in like 6 weeks. My pace is probably horrible from my huge break from not running. No drive here, thinking of my why's and I run the same route, I live where it's extremely hot in evening, hubby works super early and I don't like running by myself in dark idk... I need some motivation here.

      You got this! It's totally ok to take a break, sometimes a big break is what we need to remind us why we love running! It helps me not to focus on pace and just to do the best I can -- running has become a lot more fun since not putting an emphasis on pace!!

Consistency is the key! I have done 20 miles on a treadmill in the past and it was LONG LONG LONG! You will figure out the running funk. Keep going and always listen to your body and mind.

    Girl you’re a strong runner, I never can talk and run at the same time! , but also it’s been years since I did long distance running 😅and the most id do was 8 miles. Now I’m a 20 mile bike rider 😂 but I mainly enjoy weight training daily with one- two times a week bike ride 😊 happy Monday!! 🎉🎉

    Not every run is a good one! I did my first ultra (85km) this summer and although the plan I used/developed used distance as the primary metric I saw many that used time as the metric. So rather than listing a 30km long run it might list 3.5 hours easy pace. I think some people probably respond better to the distance vs time metrics - have you thought about training more based on time on feet rather than distance? Thanks for keeping the running blogs coming!!

      @@Mmel1988 I have definitely thought about that and did that for a bit for my 50 miler!!! I’m using a coach and just leaning on what she recommends, but could definitely see time based training being helpful!!!

    You’ve got a great attitude about your runs. It’s hard when a run doesn’t go as planned. I had the same issue with my treadmill runs. I had to set my Garmin to “treadmill” and buy a Garmin running dynamics pod. They also make a foot pod. Using the pod I was able to teach my Garmin what my real pace should be. I’ve had that eye thing happen and a warm wet compress worked for me. Hope you get your run groove back. Happy running y’all! 😀🏃🏻‍♀️👟

    You're putting so much pressure on yourself!! It's robbing that cheerfulness you've had in your approach to running. You do not have to do bigger and longer races, maybe find a distance you love and stick with it. Or change your approach to running and try something different to revitalize your running life. Have you ever heard of the MAF method? Or carb free fueling? Check out this video for inspiration (it's an interview with Courtney Dauwalter) land follow this RUclips channel.     The BPN gels are delicious until you have them in your pocket for a few miles and they get warm 🤢 Whoever thinks the treadmill is cheating has never ran on a treadmill. The treadmill is a bajillion and one times harder than outside!! When going through a mental block, my mantra is "just do what you can today". Way to do 10.5 miles on the treadmill!

    I always go with what the treadmill says. My watch is never right on the treadmill (also because I do both speed and slow runs on the treadmill so its confused). Also treadmill OBVIOUSLY counts! It's running! I mostly check my heart rate as well to see that my effort is similar to what it is on the road.

    i <3 the treadmill!! I think its a great tool, and sometimes running outside is overwhelming for me, I think I get stressed SEEING how far I have to go if that makes sense? I'm planning on my long run on the treadmill this week, I have 10 miles with 5 at HMP and that's SCARY workout for me so taking the stress off myself of running outside and pacing myself by putting it on the treadmill is really helpful to me!

    I think you may be super dehydrated too! All the gels/fuel/electrolytes can really dehydrate you quickly if you’re not drinking enough plain water to balance it out

    i would highly recommend reading the villains series in order!! each book obviously focuses on the villain there about, but in the first 6 there’s an overarching story :)

    You could also try Onigiri (Japanese rice balls). Some people do pretzels or Goldfish for salty carbs. I know a woman who carries whole potatoes in her pockets. Sweet and regular potatoes. 🥔😉🏃🏻‍♀️👟👍🏻

    Yeah, i get a sort of stabbing pain in my stomach too. Some days i can run through it and it fades. 9ther days i just have to walk.
